To reply further into my own topic. CBS is so much better than NBC it's not even funny. Let's start with the talent first.
Dan Hicks is actually not that bad, but give me Nantz ("A win for the Ages!!!") over Hicks ("Did you expect anything different?!?!").
Faldo is starting to grow on me a little, while Miller comes off arrogant & condesending - like he could climb down from the 18th tower & go shoot 63 on these courses.
McCord has more personality in his mustache than Koch has in his entire body.
Ian Baker-Finch, with his Australian accent sounds cooler than the 'Country Bumkin' Bob Murphy.
Peter Kostis knows the players (even though they hate him) and he knows the swing... The only thing Mark Rolfing knows about is what seafood place is best in Hawaii.
Feherty brings his wit and humor (and sometimes farting) into things, while Maltbie sounds out of breathe and in dire need of a cigarette.
On the production side of things - we understand that more than half of the shots we see on television are on tape and replayed to look live (some shots happened 30 seconds ago, some 2 minutes ago), but NBC always seems to tip their hands "This just a moment ago... Brad Faxon (who's +10).... with his 3rd shot on the Par 5.... Wow and Eagle". Geez, didn't see that one coming... showing me a guy 20 strokes out of the lead... wonder what he's going to do? Maybe it's because CBS usually gets the West Coast tournaments with better views and golf course "eye-candy" (i.e. Pebble Beach) while NBC gets the Florida swing with palm tree & palm tree, but the shots are more breathe taking and dramatic on CBS than NBC. I know NBC only gets 11 Tournaments, but for me it's 11 too many.

CBS totally! Miller is one of the most stupid announcers ever, Mccord and Feherty are two of the funniest people I know, Nantz makes better calls than Hicks, and I've always believed NBC is biassed towards Tiger because if you remember in the 2008 U.S Open on the 18th hole when Tiger was in the bunker he slammed his club right on the face and earlier in the year someone did the exact same thing and Miller, Maltbie, and Gary Cocaine were ripping the guy.

What will be interesting is if the Comcast acquisition of NBC deal goes through... That would make The Golf Channel and NBC part of the same company.

CBS definitely. Verne Lundquist would be the permanent voice of golf if I had my druthers. Nantz is a close second. Faldo, who was really good last year, is turning into a blithering goofball for some reason. Just kinda weird.

I like Faldo, Feherty, and McCord...Miller is ok. I can't stand Jim Nantz....don't really know why but I'd rather hear fingernails on a chalkboard...I wish the Masters would replace him.

CBS doesn't get on my nerves as much as NBC but not for reasons some others have. I like Johnny Miller, but Gary Koch kinda gets on my nerves. I like Dan Hicks, but I like Jim Nantz better. By the way, does Nantz have the best job in the world or what? Masters, Super Bowl, and any championship on- he's there...

Johnny Miller is so pro Tiger it is disgusting to even watch a tournament listening to him....even if Tiger does not play thats what he talks about! Jim Nance is a great announcer proven time and again over many different venues! CBS does not need to change a thing!
