Just came home last night & logged onto to Stracka, thinking there might be some good British Open Forums to dive in to. And much to my suprise (not really) of the 10 Forum Topics - 6 were first posted in 2008 and all 6 were brought to the Main Page by danielgarcia. Daniel even commented on a kids swing from 2008 when the kid was 15. Now the kid is 17, drives a car, has grown 6 inches, hit puberty, and is graduating next Spring. Daniel, if you say you're on Stracka 40 hours a week then why can't you catch up....at least to 2009? You make this site incredibility frustrating, but you really don't seemed to care. Is it possible for an Administrator to just type in "GOOD REED" from danielgarcia on every Forum Topic ever posted, give him 1,000,000 points & move on with more relative topics? Daniel also decided that this was relative to bring back to life from 2008, when someone asked "if you like to play alone or with a partner". In typical danielgarcia fashion, he simply replied "WITH A PARTNER". WOW. Thanks for that News Flash? Instead of talking about "Do you think Tiger will continue to use his new Nike putter in future events?" danielgarcia thought it was more important to tell us what 3-clubs he would use in a 3-club Tournament (also posted in 2008). I can't wait to read what "get a life", "grow-up", "stop hating" reply daniel will have on this. I'm sure it will cut to the bone and be in ALL CAPS.

Yeah, this time he went too far. Give him hell, Ethan. Mike, I don't know that "giving him hell" is the right approach. He IS bordering on poor Netiquette at times, if and only if for the simple fact that he either can't or is unwilling to discern the relevancy of a past topic to today. Some are, some aren't. It is up to the individual reading it and thinking about replying to such an old thread to ascertain whether or not it is still relevant. As a long time computer (since 1982, when I was 5) and Internet (1986, when I was 9) user, I don't want your statement to become construed as an invitation to open up a can of worms or Pandora's box, so to speak, and elicit flaming posts from all around. He DOES need to be reminded (yet again!) of proper Netiquette rules, but to "give him hell" or to "flame" him is akin to using an AK-47 to kill a mosquito, if that makes sense. It is easy for people to make the assumption (and we all know what happens when we "assume", right?) that the initial post was sb and yours and my initial replies are already "flaming" posts, when they are not and I trust that the Stracka moderatours are intelligent enough to see that line. A post on Netiquette and reminding someone of the "rules of the Information Superhighway" so to speak is not flaming someone. What IS flaming someone (and anyone that can remember when Prodigy and Compuserve were the "new" thing will know what I am talking about) is to destroy someone on a <bold>personal</bold> level. Mike, you, me, Ethan, and several other people here are friends of Daniel. Certainly no one here hates him or even moderately dislikes him. In fact, as much as he is heading to Iraq and back, I'd go far as to say that the overwhelming majourity of the Stracka community probably has a high level of respect for him, but personal sentiments and Netiquette do not always overlap. Daniel, I hope this secondary reply of mine will crystallize some of the issues so to speak. No one is "flaming" you, no one even dislikes you, they do sometimes dislike your actions, specifically bringing back non-relevant threads. (Yes, to be fair, Ethan has done this as well lately, but he is most likely doing it (in my opinion) as a <italics>reductio ad absurbum</italics> (Forgive me if my Latin spelling is incorrect, it's been a few years since I've been in college.) By that, Daniel, I mean that Ethan is most likely doing this to try to illustrate to you what you look like to the majourity of the Stracka community as a means of enlightenment, so to speak. Capiche?) Peace to all! :-) Shaun Shaun, my statement, "give him hell, Ethan" was not meant to be interpreted literally. It was actually made to invoke humor, but it seems you misinterpreted my intent. We all know Ethan plays with Daniel on occasion, as do I from time to time. I like Daniel and probably most who post on here do. I catch hell here from time to time (usually for good reason). sberend was correct here. When you visit the site to discuss a major championship and it has been completely corrupted by old subjects it does get a bit frustrating. And Ethan, despite his youthful age, generally gets a good point across in an often humorous way. So fire away. I think Daniel is man enough to take whatever comes his way, as are most of us. But I understand your sentiment. That said, this has been the worst major in terms of excitement in recent memory. The hell with the end of the competition. I'm heading to the course. |

...lol on the 4 forums I post on, Daniel is the one person I wish would be banned. There is A RULE IN THE TERMS OF SERVICE which says you are not allowed to post simply to raise post count. This is unmistakeably what Daniel is doing. I wish a mod would stop it. |

He won't stop even if Tiger Woods called him and told him to STOP! He only cares about himself and what he wants to do. I have a 12 year old at home that's going through the same thing.... if that tells you where danielgarcia is at maturity wise. It's getting to the point where I don't even look at Forums anymore, I know everything is going to be from 2008/or older. I use to really enjoy reading all the Topics/Forums, but daniel has ruined that for me. I guess I should invite daniel over to my house so he can come inside and kick the crap out of my dog.... he's done everything else. He has NEVER had one single interesting, or amusing reply on Stracka.... yet, there he goes doing his same ol thang. THE BIT IS GETTING OLD!!!!

He's trying to cover his tracks right now.... In the last 30 minutes he has responded to 6 post that were all posted this calender year.... getting rid of all the 2008 post that he already brought to the main page.... and I know he's reading this Forum.... what a child!!!!

((Trying to keep this on the Main Page))... If some of the topics that daniel brought to the main page were more relevent, I would have no problem with this. But to comment on a kids swing (as one example) from 2 years ago, which has undoubtedly changed, is poor judgement. Then he contuniually doesn't add anything to the post.... "NICE READ,KEEP,IT, IN, THE,SHORT,GRASS", doesn't count as furthering the post. Why can't he just read the Forum, and move along, instead of commenting on everything. Does he need the points that bad, hell give him all of my points, I don't care about points.
