The Masters will add an extra hour of live tournament coverage on ESPN for the first two rounds of the tournament beginning with the 2011 event, Augusta National Golf Club chairman Billy Payne announced Tuesday.
The 2011 Masters will air on ESPN from 3 to 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, April 7 and 8. It's a shame that the one Major I can't get enough of, gives us the least amount of TV coverage. At least their slowly but surely adding to it, finally showing the Par 3 Tournament along with full round coverage on Sunday. I know my DVR would be working Overtime if The Masters ever decided to go to wall-to-wall coverage like we get at the U.S. Open & The British Open. |

I know they limit coverage as an attempt at exclusivity but come on in this day and age you should be able to watch every stroke of a tournament if not on TV then definitely online. If there was wall to wall coverage i'd call in sick on thursday and friday.

This is one tourney that should open up it coverage, too much history can be made daily there.

How great would it be to be able to see the "Arnie & Jack" opening tee-shots live, then go right into coverage. With the limited field that The Masters has (a field of 90 or so), you would think that Augusta would think about it, because you know that CBS/ESPN would love to do it. The Thursday/Friday rounds should be at least 6 hours, but I would love to see 10.

YAY! It always pisses me off to come home from school and watch rounds 1 and 2 in like an hour on Tivo. If I id that with the US, British, or PGA I'd be on my couch for at least 6 hours. Thank god the people at Augusta know we're listening.

I really don't care. I don't dislike the Masters @ all but they get on my nerves with that high and mighty nonsense. |
