Over the weekend, for what it's worth, TMZ reported that Woods is returning home sometime this week. And sources close to the family say El Tigre is aiming to play in the Tavistock Cup. What, The Tavistock Cup??? This years event takes place March 22nd & 23rd at Isleworth, after the 2 day event Tiger will head to Augusta to prepare for The Masters. I know, I know.... it's TMZ....but they've been right more than wrong on Tiger issues. Could you see Woods taking this course of action?

He plays the Tavistock Cup every year. So I guess it's possible. I just don't see him making a return to competitive golf at the Masters.

Oh and BTW-he's not playing the Accenture.

I can see this definitly could happen. Play in your neighborhood and out of a PGA Tour atmosphere, makes sense to me.

I will be betting large against him at the Masters! NO way he can tackle Augusta with no to little practice.

i figured his return would be at Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational but who knows. By the way daniel said cogolfer has no cojones and March 13th instead of Pacquiao vs. Mayweather, we have danielgarcia vs. Dandy. Let's get ready to mumble. p.s i may have spelled Pacquiao wrong

I was right with you. I figured Bay Hill for sure, I think what is happening now is a bit of a ploy by his camp. Building anticipation for the big return to take the spotlight off the turmoil of the previous months. I'd imagine we won't know about his return untill a few days before hand. The whirlwind surrounding that kind of return wuolod be even crazier. Tiger for his part needs to play well. If he does, the stories sway slightly away from his personal life and towards the golf. If he shoots an opening round 75, well, I can see the headlines now...."Tiger's personal life ruins golf game". Either way, his return will infuse some much needed life into the PGA tour.

yeah, i hope he announces something more than a few days in advance to silence all rumors and maybe, to some degree, address his absence so when he does get back out there he will be able to concentrate and only have to deal with the media regarding his game. i don't think the media is gonna settle for "why did you lay up on 16?" and Tiger refusing to answer questions not regarding golf. he has to say something or it will just be in everyone's mind and his. i was hoping he'd be back for Bay Hill because that has a lot to do with whether i buy tickets or not.

I know it's more fun to see Tiger, but you should go anyway, if you can that is, just to support the tour without Tiger.
