I cringe every time the narrator for the greatest golf content provider on TV says 'golf' and pronounces it gowf. Who the hell signed off on hiring this guy as the narrator? Can't some one coach him up and let him know there is an L in golf? |

Hundreds of years ago it was pronounced "Goff."
Not sure who you are referring to but if the gentleman is a Scot, don't argue as they invented the game. |

I could be mistaken but I believe that the L in Golf was originally just an American thing and was originally spelled Gof or Goff like LL said before.

You'd go crazy living where I do. 57% of our residents are emmigrants from virtually every nation. All I'll say is their skills in my first language are so much better than mine in any of theirs.
