Lake City, Florida Golf--Quail Ridge or Country Club of LC?

My wife and I are driving through Lake City, Florida at the end of the month and we are going to stop off of I-75 to get in a round.

There are two courses to choose from, the Country Club of Lake City or Quail Heights. QH has a choice of 3 nines to choose from. Generally, I find this type of club a little gimmicky for my taste and I would lean towards the Country Club.

However, the Country Club is $20 more per player. Not a big deal, but if Quail Heights is a prettier or more fun course, I'll play there and save the $40. If either course is a 'can't miss' experience, that's where I want to play.

Any stories, suggestions or experiences from either club are welcome here.
