lol..so check it out..I'm from Ohio..and we obviously don't have winter rounds of golf..so this year I started having my my friends that I usually play rounds with come over to my house and we play Tiger Woods on the Wii every week on my bigscreen.. There's six of us and we have like a league format..I know dumb..but still fun...

A few days ago I was blessed with a rare winter round with a few friends...we all had an above average putting day.. I was chatting with my one friend about how Tiger Woods on the Wii made us a better putters...

We all have our methods of how we calculate break and speed ect ect..but I actually could visualize the gridlines on the green with the breaks and speed just like the game has them and I believe I was able to successfully putt better than I normally do.. Stats show it too..putts per hole 2010 1.89 and putts per hole 2011 1.67..

anyone else have any similar virtual help? lol.

The wii league sounds like fun especialy for those of us dealing with snow. Yes, I think it helps putting the most and like you, I can now totally see the grid lines when I putt for real, now if I can just get a putt preview in real life...

don't have it on Wii, but Jdubs swears he learned to read putts on Tiger Woods. it might not hurt with reads but i still haven't 20 putt in real golf and yeah, the preview would be nice

haha, we totally have to add chicken sticks to our wii controllers..they looks sweet...

and yes, I haven't learned much more than how to read putts...It didnt teach me the way I analyze the greens...but its more of a visual aid for when Im on the green...

I break putts down into 3-4 sections and read each "section" a good pga instructor taught me how to do that... but they are fun games anyhow..

Even the Wii club is better than using just the controller but I like the idea of the Chicken Stick with a real grip. Does the game help my golf? IDK but it provides some welcome golf fun in the winter months. I will definitely be getting the new one with Augusta.

well,, the only thing i think i could learn as a tool from we is the fact that if i ever get to some of these championship courses i know the layout a little better.. im not thinking ill be able to hit it out there 400 like on the wi... but at least i will know whats over the hill or around the corner on the dogleg left if i can even get to the corner at all....

The Chicken Stick looks like a great tool, but it looks like the only downside is that it requires you to also have the separate Wii Motion Plus accessory. My controllers have the Motion Plus already build in....
