A lot of forums have said whos the better golfer all time (based on past events). Right now who do you think will get more Major wins in their PGA tour career...

Woods-heating up as of lately..but still not the same dominant Tiger he once was despite leading the Tour in wins this year...

Mickelson-Obviously a slump, hard to tell if it's just a slump or something more permanent..

Els- Was under the radar most of Sunday, at one time was a 489-1 odds to win at some point Sunday played a fantastic back nine and stole the Open from Scott...

Scott-Played a great tournament and beautiful golf all weekend, perhaps the best he's ever played in a major..

So the question..all history and past put aside going forward who wins more majors before retirement? Who gets the most PGA wins?

My picks:
Tournament wins: Woods, Scott, Mickelson, Els
Major wins: Mickelson, Woods, Scott, Els

Woods- I hold firm that Tiger will win 2 more green jackets and finish his career with a total of 16 majors. He'll break Snead's tour win record rather easily, and I can see him getting between 85 and 95 when it's all said and done. If he threatens 100, I'd be shocked, but it'd be a hell of an accomplishment.

Mickelson- I really think there's another green jacket left in him. If he were to win either of the Opens or the PGA, I'd be stunned. My guess is he'll get to 50 wins on Tour, probably nothing more than 55.

Els- No more majors. No more than 5 other wins left for him.

Scott- Even after the debacle at Lytham, I think he'll win 2 majors. Probably a green jacket and a claret jug, but that might not be the case. Maximum of 10 wins on Tour left for him.

Woods and Scott look like they've got a lot ahead of them. Els and Mickleson? Father Time is catching up with them. Phil I am especially concerned about.

I think (hope) Webb will do better than all 4 of them combined over the next 5 years.

I think Mickelson is in to much pain to ever be a great player again, not that he can not ever win but that he can not do it week after week.
Els not sure he can win without help like he did shen Scoot came back to him. Els I think has the best chance of being in the top 20 week in and week out of these 4 guys.
Scott just don't think he has what it take inside to win much. I think his best move would be to get Steve off his bag.
Tiger body is getting in his way and he has always be a power player. I think he over swings most of his clubs. He can get back on top and win more then any of the others but not until he becomes a better feel player and not this power guy. Woods needs to love and hit all his clubs like he does his 3 wood.

I think one thing that's key in all of this is what the USGA and R&A decide to do about the long/belly putters. If those are banned, that could be detrimental to Ernie and Adam's major chances, Webb also who Buck brought up. If they were banned, it wouldn't take place until Jan. 1, 2016, so mathematically speaking, Els, Scott, Simpson, and others like Bradley and Haas have 13 more major chances before they have to completely change how they putt.
