Was hitting them both longer than my current driver...the Taylormade is considerably longer than my old Adams...I'm a Callaway guy still sporting the x20 tour's...

I couldn't decide..the Callaway launched a bit higher, the TM got a few extra yards and both were pretty straight..

Which club should I buy?? Or should I splurge for the RBZ, R11's, or should I buy a different club all together??

What is the longest club on the market?

Distance doesnt mean anything if you can't keep it in the short grass. Your best bet is to get the one you hit straightest. And as a side note for you, the technology in drivers has been maxed out for a few years now. The only advantages that the newer stuff offers is more adjustability then last years model a fresh new paint. You need to find a head that you like the look, feel and sound of and put the shaft in it that works best for your game.

I just bought the RBZ Tour 9* yesterday, with the HD shaft. Played today. I adjusted it to a lower setting because I typically have a higher ball flight. i can honestly say I hit the ball straighter and much longer consistently. Most my drives were 275 or better. and that was with either a crosswind or a slight wind in my face. Two drives with the same tailwind were both over 300. 325 and 310. I just traded in my Ping G-20 for this RBZ. I hadn't hit my Ping longer than 280 in over a month. I'm completely sold on the RBZ. going to the range tomorrow to play with different settings and tee heights, and to find the sweetspot.

I'm with Armygrunt here. Drivers have been the same for about 4 or 5 years now, maybe even longer (but the TV and magazine ads wouldn't have you believe that).

You may benefit from a good shaft fitting, or a different loft or something...get something that's good for YOU...but like Army said, you gotta have something that stays in the fairway. In golf, you have to play your foul balls. You may actually find that your old Adams performs great when you put the right shaft in it. My gamer driver is already "old" by today's market standards...it's a Cobra S9 Pro from 2008 or 2009...got a great shaft put in it and I haven't hit anything that works better for me.

But be honest with yourself: Think about your personal game, and the courses that you play: Is more distance--possibly at the expense of accuracy--going to change your score for the better? If the answer is yes, then find something that hits the longest. Keep in mind that long-drive heads like those from Geek Golf and Krank Golf are still USGA legal. But if more accuracy is what's going to help your score (and I think it would), then you may benefit from heavier gear that helps you stay down the middle--even if you lose a few yards.

Remember, guys like Corey Pavin have made a hell of a living playing golf by hitting the ball 240-250 yards off the tee but basically never missing a fairway...

I just bought a new driver yesterday, after trying a bunch of them. I tried the Calloway and the Burner 2.0. I also tried the TM RBZ, an Adams, and a couple of others that I told the salesman that I did not want to know (so that I don't bias my decision - All my trials were as blind as I could make them)

In the end the hands-down winner was the Ping G20 driver. I consistently hit it 10% further than all the rest and direction was also the most consistent (in fact I consistently have a slight fade with it - I'll have to figure that out). For now, I'll aim for the left side of the fairway and let it rip.

Try the Ping.
