Ok, once and for all, if you are playing a shaft that is too stiff,
does the ball go left or right?? |

Depends on which side of the fairway the water is.

Your swing path and face angle will determine direction not the shaft.
I play an xstiff shaft in my driver even though I am a firm s shaft. My reasoning is that it delivers a tighter dispersion. It does however cost me some distance. |

For a right handed person, a shaft that is too stiff will go right. When you swing, the lower portion of the shaft actually bends forward, ahead of the rest of the shaft just before impact. This closes the face angle slightly. A stiffer shaft will reduce this forward bending, resulting in shots going more right. By the same token, shafts too soft are more likely to produce hooks.
