I found an article about a man who shot two in the same round, odds are 67 million to one... It got me wondering how many golfers have ever actually shot a hole in one? I've been within three feet, but never aced one. Check out the article and if you like it, feel free to digg it :) |

I hit the first hole in one in the history of a local course. The course is Mississippi Dunes. It was a sand wedge from one hundred and three yards; two bounces and it went in. It happened in 1997 playing with my best golf buddies.
Since that time, I have witnessed two other Aces. My father-in-law and a twelve year-old friend of my son. The interesting thing is that the best golfers I know have not had one go in. I think a hole in one is a lot about luck. |

My only hole-in-one was at Westridge Golf Club in Brea, California. For all those who have had one, it's a great feeling isn't it. Something you may not know and something I found out by doing, is that if you e-mail the different manufacturers of your hole-in-one equipment, they respond in kind to your acheivement. I recieved a nice certificate from Top-Flite, a hat and hole-in-one medallion from Cleveland Golf. They do like to hear from those who use their products and to wish you well. Give it a try by contacting your equipment makers and see what happens.

Got one when I was 12 years old. If I remember correctly it was a 120 yard 2 iron. 2 iron for sure, just can't remember the yardage... was either 105 or 120. Was in a tournament too :) Haven't had a hole in one since (now 27) and haven't holed out from 45 for a looong time...

Made my first today! 154 yard 11th at Spooky Brook golf course in Somerset, NJ. 8 iron hit on the front right and kicked left towards the hole and rolled in. That got me to even par for the round. I wasted a few shots coming in and finished 5 over.
