Woman's erratic behavior on golf course leads to arrest
POLICE BEAT Dublin police arrested a 48-year-old Dublin woman for menacing and disorderly conduct at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 14 at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Police were called to No. 2 tee at the golf course on a report of a woman "creating a disturbance with golfers." The woman was not at tee No. 2 when police arrived. They entered a nearby residence where doors were open and loud music was playing. Two juveniles inside told police their mother was planning on playing golf. One of the juveniles told police he stayed home from school to watch his younger bother because his mother was "acting crazy." Police found the woman on the third fairway trying to "hug and kiss on the golfers," police said. Reports said officers approached the woman as she was hitting a golf shot out of a sand trap and asked her to put down the club. The woman replied, "(Screw) you. I am going to play through and no one will stop me," according to reports. The woman threatened to "wrap a club around the neck" of police if not left alone. Police said the woman acted in a threatening manner and refused to drop the club. Reports said officers then used a Taser to subdue and apprehend the woman. |

So, did she get the sand save? ;) No because she was hitting her 9th shot. Are you talking about golf or booze?!?! Both |

Have to agree with you on this one. Sounds very much like an ischemic stroke or some kind of serious ailment. Not very funny. No it was not - and the kids were not worried or concerned, they didn't call police course did. There is more info out there I just didn't post every article about it. Lesson learned. |

I looked for more info and didn't find any. Sorry, still don't see the humorous aspect to this story. Not sure what lesson could possibly be found here... |

Susan, it didn't offend me, just struck me differently. Didn't mean to set off a downer but I was just responding with my take. I didn't criticize, didn't chastise, didn't complain, and didn't mean to offend you. I usually enjoy a good joke, this one just happened to catch me at a time when I am dealing with a personal issue and simply saw a different aspect of the situation. As my recent post about Freddy Couples and Michael Jordan illustrated to me; sometimes we don't realize what someone else takes away from a particular situation. I inititiated a firestorm about race which was never my intention, but as I stated; peopel often see things differently. Trust me, you didn't offend me and I didn't mean to upset you. Sorry again. |

Susan, I'm sure if this is the biggest offence you've given, you are much closer to sainthood than I will ever be... I would hate to think what happens if no one ever post's something because of the slight chance that one person may be offended. Be a lot of very quiet forums! In a way I'm grateful that this post offers an opportunity to ponder the human quality of empathy. I wonder sometimes how many of those who so readily see the humor in another's suffering understand how thin the line is between living the dream and waking up in a nightmare? Friendship is held to be the severest test of character. It is easy, we think, to be loyal to a family and clan, whose blood is in your own veins. Charles Alexander Eastman Go in peace my friend! |

I think that was a little excessive... The police must not be golfers... nope; the club can be considered a weapon with a threat to wrap it around his neck. she could be charged with abhan. taser was the safest for both parties involved. |
