As I sit at work dreaming of warm and sunny days, I started to think back about some of the coldest weather I have ever played. I finished a tournament while it was snowing very hard one time. Had to move the snow out of my putting line to finish the last hole. We ended winning because only 3 teams turned in a score card. It was around 25 and windy. Never again.

It was New Year's Day with temps starting int he upper 30's but dropping like a stone. On the 6th hole snow began while by the 9th green couldn't putt without snow circling the ball and tipping over. Went into the clubhouse to warm up and watched the snow come down harder. Never saw the course again until late February.

Started the round just above freezing, calm winds and sun. So weather wise it wasn't bad, but around the 4th hole the snow started to fall and the Temps dropped down to the mid twenties. Finished the 9 holes and called it a day. The bad weather wasn't supposed to come in until that night, but I guess it had other ideas.

I played all 27 holes last year at EV. The high temp during the round was 27 but it dropped into the low teens by the time I finished.

It was the first day of a cold snap after having a lot of rain. Crust on top, soft and wet underneath. You could take a divot with the irons but it would freeze to the club face by he time you made it back to your towel. As I walked the crust would break enough to squirt water on the back of my legs and then freeze to my pants. I knew I was in trouble when my snot froze while breathing in through my nose.

One time I played and it was 59 degrees, but tomorrow morn it's supposed to be 58, so that will really suck. Not to worry, I may not be able to wear shorts, but I have a sweater vest that is ready to go!! Hand warmers are on ready alert too.

Christmas Eve 2013. Played in the hardest wind I've ever come across in during my entire life at Fox Hollow just outside of Denver. Winds had to have gusted at 70 at a couple of points and been at 50 most of the day. Temperature I wanna say was in the 40's, but the wind chill brought it down to the teens I'm guessing. Was the most demented golf I've ever had to play. Hit a full pitching wedge 30 yards going into the wind, next hole I hit a full pitching wedge downwind and it went 200 yards. Took these 2 pictures from that day.
Windy day at Fox Hollow

I read where Old Tom Morris would take a dip in the Firth every morning before playing. Do you take a dip in the creek as well?

I played I think it was 2009 in Orlando Florida Tee off time was 7;20 am temperature was 36 but got warmer as the day went by and it was a beautiful day.

Also in Dallas, December 26th 2014 at Old American Golf club, I arrived there at 7:15 am and temperature was 28 but they didn't let me out because the course was frozen, I went out after 9:30 am temperatures was already in the upper 30's don't remember exactly.

I think for a Florida Guy it's pretty impressive but I won't say how much close I had on me.

Flew from Philly at 45 degrees in March a few years back to Houston and played in 40 degrees with 40-50 mph winds. That was interesting.
