This Thursday we will be having a centennial celebration for the course I have grown up on. An invitation only tourney will be held, along with other festivities. The coolest part about it is, my grandfather will be hitting the ceremonial tee shot. He is 86 years old and can still beat me on some days. A lot of State media will be present to run the story. I will try to post some pics once it is over. Please read the following article to give you an idea of the history of the course.

There is not enough space for me to type all of the accolades my grandfather has accomplished in just about every sport you can imagine. He was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall OF Fame in 1992. One of the greatest athletes to ever come out of Hampton Virginia.
