So what wedges are actually banned by the USGA? I honestly have no clue if my Cleveland CG11's have square grooves or not. Anyone have any idea?

probably a good idea to contact the manufacturer for that info, they are the only ones that would know for sure what you have.

You might be able to go to the USGA's web-site for a current list. I know my NIKE "V" Red's are. But being I'm an amateur I have 5 years to comply I believe.

never played with the ones banned do they make that much of a diffrence Lets just say, I have 2 wedges, a 60 and a 56, both the Nike Victory Red's. Doesn't matter what ball I hit, if I use one of those wedges, the ball looks like it got hit by a cheese grader. It peels the cover off. So depending on how much I use them, depends on how many balls I go through in 1 round. Pro's and cons~~ |

Some of the wedges are not listed, in case like so contact the manufacturer by calling their customer service or send them email with question. Also, Be aware when you purchase the wedge in used condition, make certain the grooves were not sharpened to nonconforming specification. I'm sure if you don't play U.S.G.A. sanctioned tournaments or where local riles apply, then you'll be fine. |

For amateurs you do not have to comply to this rule until the last day of the year 2016. So for you and me they're legal at the moment.

You can email the manufacturers and they will tell you as well. Thats what I did before I invested in mine being it was late last year when I bought them. |

I don't plan on playing in any USGA sponsored tournaments anytime soon, so personally I'm not going to worry about it. Nor for awhile, at least.
