Who is everyone's favorite Stand-Up comics? Anyone see someone live that was particularly good?
My favorites include Mitch Hedberg, Lewis Black, Ricky Gervais and Ron White. I did get to see the late George Carlin live about 7 or 8 years ago, which of course was outstanding. Also saw Lewis Black live, which was hilarious as well.... |

I saw Sam Kinison twice in Louisville back in the late 1980s. Walked on stage holding a long chain in each hand, at the end of which were two collared women walking ahead of him, scantily attired. The shows, as one can imagine, were spectacular.

He wasn't really a stand up comedian but Chris Farley was my favorite comic. I like the Bill Cosby in "himself" also, he has kids nailed to a "T" in that one. And then there is Hickory Dickory Dock the *bleep**bleep* *bleep**bleep**bleep* Andrew Dice Clay! Eddy Murphy and Dave Chappelle never disapoint me either.

Gaffigan is ok. Murphy and Pryor were great. not a big fan of George Carlin. Goynes pointed out some good ones with Patton Oswalt and Mitch Hedberg, who died a few years ago, he was a freakin' trip. Richard Jeni had his moments. P.F. Tompkins is pretty funny. Daniel Tosh is awesome. Chris Rock isn't bad. i've only seen two big names live and they were Dave Chapelle and Brian Regan. both were amazing and i don't know which show was better. there are alot of good ones, more than i realized actually.

I was in line at Universal Studios at the Spiderman ride, when right in front of us was Robin Williams and his family, man he got he line moving fast, the jokes and one-liners were flying. He was off the hook. He made that 45 minute line go by so fast, it was totally awesome. At one point, he had a few people peeing in his pants

Jim Jefferies, the late Greg Giraldo, Lewis Black, and Lisa Lampanelli.
I like my comics more on the risque side of things. Jim Jefferies is one of the most funny people i've ever seen. If your easily offended i would stay away though. |
