Who is everyone's favorite Stand-Up comics? Anyone see someone live that was particularly good?
My favorites include Mitch Hedberg, Lewis Black, Ricky Gervais and Ron White. I did get to see the late George Carlin live about 7 or 8 years ago, which of course was outstanding. Also saw Lewis Black live, which was hilarious as well.... |

I'm not one for the incessant cursing throughout most routines, it's just a turn off to me. However, Lewis Black's rant on golfers IS pretty funny. Here's a link to the routine that I posted a while back.

The ones I enjoyed most seems are no longer with us. Sam Kineson, Rodney, Chris Farley. As far as from today, John Caparulo is hilarious along with Rodney Carrington, especially in person. Along with Ron White.

It was one of the funniest shows I have watched without a single cuss word. I watched it before I had kids, now that I have kids it's 10 x's funnier to me. |

Pryor, Murphy, Rock, Mac
Lewis Black Cosby Carlin ... the classics ... though Lewis Black's delivery and creative use of the F word sticks out as my favorite. Bernie Mac's first couple of appearances on Def Jam are legendary. Judge: Who are you? Mac: Punk. That's him right there, your honor. I saw him do it. I tried to call you, but the line was busy. |
