Today I worked my usual 9am-3pm shift at Dunham's Sports in my hometown of Hermitage, PA, not knowing that me and the staff would be heavily involved in sales totaling over $175 worth of golf equipment!

I even contributed to some of those sales! One of those sales was a box of Titleist NXT Extreme golf balls. When I pitched the customer the part about one free sleeve for every visibly damaged ball during the normal course of play in a round sent to the manufacturer, the customer was sold! So I sold him the golf balls. This made excellent use of my experience in attempting to sell Titleist golf balls in a sales presentation for my marketing class this past spring that I made an A on, leading to an A for the class.

But that wasn't the only sale I contributed to. I also sold some golf accessories, golf tees, a putter, a chipper, and a few gloves. I even sold other golf balls as well.

My next work day will be next Wednesday from 9am-3pm. Hopefully I can sell $200 worth of equipment next week!

Now if Dunham's Sports in Hermitage, PA had an Employee of the Month program, they'd have to name me Employee of the Month for July 2009 becuase of today's sales!
