What golf balls do you prefer to purchase?

Most often in recent weeks I have been purchasing recycled golf balls. They cost a lot less than new ones. (Although I still purchase new ones on occasion...)

So, what do you prefer? Do you prefer to spend the money on new ones, or save lots of money and purchase recycled ones?

I buy recycled ProV1's normally. I'm trying the Wilson 50/50's right now (bought new on sale). Will try out the Bridgestone 330's next.

I never buy new unless it is a really good deal. If you don't lose a ball, how many rounds would you use it? You'd use it again right? Well you are using a used ball - no different than when I buy some other guy's ball that he lost three holes into the first round. Just buy the grade A or mint/near mint condition.

I typically will buy refurbished 3-4 star Pro-V's at the same $25/dozen some people may pay for new balls. I do not loose many balls so it's a better purchase I feel.

No ..No No...When will you guys ever wise up?? It's compression.... Wilson Zip or 50/50... hit more greens, make more putts, and drive the ball farther.

Hogan - I tried the 50/50's and they were pretty good. I'm going to bounch between the ProV1's and the Wilsons to see if I can determine which is better for me! Thanks for the tip!

It's a very personal issue.
I agree with rcedrone, whatever you play, try to play one brand and one type of golf balls for a period of time. The construction of a golf ball will even make a difference for the driver spin ( elevation and/or side spin ).
And if you don't lose a bunch of golf balls during the 18, treat yourself to some golf ball that fits your game.

I like the Taylormade Burner Reds. New they are not that expensive,$20 a doz. Used in perfect shape they go about $12
a doz from Dr Mulligan. Captial one is sending me a brand new box for rewards points.LOL I like the distance and they are soft. I also Like Noodles for a change of pace.

It took time to find a ball I felt comfortable with and it is different for everyone. I'm a high handicapper and won't spend a fortune for balls that don't match my game. It would be like buying a Tour driver that I couldn't hit because of my swing speed.

Hey guys, you're speaking my language. That's my business!! Check out my website at www.drmulligans.com .

Lower prices than just about ANYONE (check our Competitor Pricing Page).

Discounted prices when you buy at least 4 dozen of the same model. And an even BETTER discount when you buy at least 8 dozen. NOBODY else is doing that for you. Their prices are the same whether you buy 1 dozen or 100 dozen.

Free shipping on orders over $99.

OUR mint grade balls look like they just rolled out of the sleeve and DO NOT have pen marks like most other site top grade balls.

Check us out!

I just went to the recycled balls this year. A group of us together bought a dozen of our favorite brand each on-line. Except for the ocassional "logo ball" (there were only a few), they looked and played like brand new. I've been hitting Pro V's for about a year, ussually gifts or from vendors. But now I'm planning to order one of the "mixed brands" packages so I can really get a feel for the ball I should be playing with. Used balls makes this an affordable opportunity.
