Has anyone been watching The Haney Project on The Golf Channel lately? Haney is currently working with comedian Ray Romano.

Not all episodes--really funny guy--has a decent swing--mental, but not as bad as Barkley~

We kinda talked about this last week but the general consensus was that not many of us want to watch a nasal voiced celebrity bitch about his golf game. That doesn't mean we DON'T watch- We are golfaholics so we must watch, but we don't like what we see. Sorry if I'm speaking for all of us-

I think you're pretty much on target. I like watching Haney, I'm reading him now and just got a DVD from Amazon, "Escentials of the Golf Swing."

It's a lot like what I think about Tiger's troubles; I just don't really care. I'm not into the whole story line of Ray's life blah blah blah... No disrespect, but they're not friends of mine, we don't hang out, and his personal life has no affect on mine whatsoever. Now if I was a single guy I might be tempted to roll up on that Viking bombshell that he doesn't seem to be satisfied with. hehehe

The difference for me is last year with Barkley I'd watch just to see if Hank could improve the worst swing in the history of golf. And like everyone else I was really pulling for Barkley to get better.

This year it's trying to get someone to break 80 (which is my goal this year, I have twice, but I want to be more consistant). But getting someone to break 80 isn't as much as a draw as Barkley's story. So basically you're just watching this year's show for Ray Ramono's comic relief.
i don't get it, Ray doesn't look like he's anywhere near breaking 80 but if Haney thinks he can get him too then there is hope for me yet. JosephLeone is pretty much right though, it's not the best show but because they show it 20 times a week and i love golf, eventually i end up watching it. same goes for Daly, not very good but it's there.

I mean if they're going to constantly show reruns in between the 700 infommercials and TW updates, why not some more of the old big breaks?

We can watch Brian hit it pure!

These shows are well done and entertaining. I don't beileve, though, for one second that Romano is on the precipice of breaking 80 and just needs a nudge, which is the show's premise. It seems breaking 100 would be his goal.

Not sure Haney can help Ray. Ray will not stop talking long enough to hear any thing Hank says.

I wonder if Ray's wife might break 80 before him? While she isn't as 'athletic' as she thinks she is, she does seem to be coachable.

Ray on the other hand seems to have two things going on between his ears that gets in the way: Arrogance and a general lack of character. I'm not sure he has the discipline necessary. Breaking 80 is mostly about being consistent both physically and mentally.

Well; apparently 10 days after the last show he had a birdie put on 18 for a 79 but missed and shot 80........

I watch the Haney Project when it is a new episode every Monday. I do like the show as its not an update on Eldrick "tiger" or some random info-mercial deal on the Golf Channel.

I agree with someone else on here where they should play some older episodes of Big Break or something.

Ray was just too damn negative for me all time though. And I know that his M.O. and how he makes his living. But golf and life really are all about forgetting the negative and focusing on the positives in each.

Until he gets passed that, I'm not sure he'll break 80 anytime soon. Although he almost did a few weeks after the final show taping I saw on the show last night. Missed a birdie putt on 18 for a 79. Of course he bogeyed 17 when all he needed was par, apr for a 79.

Much easier swing to look at on TV than Barkley I have to say.
