The day I passed the PAT in June was probably my biggest golfing accomplishment. So many cool things happened to me on the course that day and I try to relive every shot I hit over the course of the 36 holes so I never forget how it all exactly played out. The highlight of that day and thus the year came on the 14th hole, my 32nd of the day. At this point, I just need to play this hole and the last 4 in 7 over and I've got it, so I'm feeling pretty confident I've already gotten it done. On the 14th green, I've got 35 or so feet for birdie, down the hill with several feet of break from left to right. The second I hit my putt, I knew I'd hit it too hard, but it was right on line, and low and behold, it hits the back of the hole right in the center and drops. I had a guilty smile, but I knew I'd officially done it with that. It was my day, and I'd gotten the monkey off my back.

I, was there, Awesome Drive!

Not many worth remembering this year except for 2. Both were with JoeDon. One was at Maryland National on the 185 yard 17th. Ball was tracking right at the hole the entire way, hit in front of it and rolled right at it. Thought it was in but it had stopped directly behind the stick and we couldn't see it till we got closer. 1 putt from a foot for birdie.

The other shot was at Landis Creek where after hitting a horrendous slice off the tee and a then a not so stellar punch back to the fairway I hit my 3rd shot on the par 5 7th from 120 yards that took a chunk out of the hole but still managed to stay out...30 feet out to be more accurate, then a 2 putt for par.

My best shot was in October, at CVS Pharmacy, where I got my Flu shot.

Had 2 best shots,both were eagles. First in Tennessee Par 5 chipped in from 20 yards out for eagle and one in Myrtle beach Par 4 chipped in from 130 out for eagle.

Chipped in from 130? That's swinging out of my shoes with a PW from that distance!

And outdriving me, you bastard! Can I count my stroke I took with someone else's club? Because hitting VD's 5W 260 yards on #18 might qualify.

My drive (with driver) on 18 was 260. You hit my long lost 5W 25 yards past it.

Sorry , it was with an 8 iron from 130.

My best shot of 2016 was early in the year and it was coupled with my 2nd best a hole later. Hole 16 at Hillcrest after a great drive, had a perfect chip in for Eagle and followed it up on #17 with a bomb over the trees and a great 2nd shot to get on in 2. Made the 25 foot putt.

Back to back Eagles. Sweet!

My best shot occurred on holiday while in Spain this year.

18th hole, and was 210 yards out from the green. Hit a four iron right at flag, huge divot, ball rolled back five inches. Birdied the hole.
