I thought this would be fun to do. We had a training session at work and one of the questions was, "Who is the most famous person from your home town?" I thought it would be a fun topic to tackle and we would learn a little. Have some fun with it.

The most famous person from my NE home town is me. Quite frankly, Joltin Joe can eat my shorts because I'm the most famous guy in Hollywood too. Did I mention I played with Will McGirt last week???

Mr. Royal Pompousness sounds like he may have a knot in his panties. He's just upset that everyone knew what a hometown was except for him.

Speaking of Hometown shizzat, tomorrow is the annual Airboat, Swamp Buggy, and Truck show at the Bergeron rodeo Arena in beautiful downtown Davie Florida! That's right. a redneck mecca! And my boy is entering his airboat in the competition. Should be a hoot!
Oh, by the way, did I mention that I once actually caught a pass from hall of fame Quarterback, ...Dan Marino?
I win!...

Not really. I ate dinner with Troy Aikman while visiting my aunt in Dallas back in '94.

I couldn't agree more Don. That is an experience like no other (the Swamp buggy show).

As far as Davie is concerned, most people would be very pleased to know the MC Hammer lives there. I still own a pair of those parachute pants too.

I get it Connor. It's a bear when this question gets asked of someone who moved around a lot.

My answers for the exercise stretched across a few generations.

Joe DiMaggio lived the last 50 years of his life in Hollywood. We have a Children's Hospital in his name.

Victoria Justice is from Hollywood. (COG take notice).

And John Walsh from Americas Most Wanted.

(As a sad side note: Americas Most Wanted started because of Hollywood. Unfortunately, Walsh's son was abducted half a mile down the street from me in '96 and the reason he started the show was to raise awareness after his son Adam was killed). At least some great things came from a horrible result.

Hollywood? Wait...I thought you said you grew up in Boston. Wouldn't Boston be your "hometown"?

I've lived in Holywood, FL for the past 22 years. I don't even remember what the northeast looks like! Who the hell wants to live there????

OK. So then like I said, your HOMETOWN was Boston. Hometown= the town you were born in or grew up in. Thanks for confirming my correctness for me. So who's from your HOMETOWN Jay? Geez! You're the guy that starts the forum but doesn't even know what a hometown is???

Jay, I am from CENTENNIAL, COLORADO. I named people who are from CENTENNIAL, COLORADO. I currently live in RICHMOND, KENTUCKY. I did not name anyone who is from RICHMOND, KENTUCKY.

Like I was sayin' .... time for a respect-your-elders lesson !

Just saw this thread - Late to the party again but...

The two most well known people from my hometown (where I was born) are Christina Aguilera(spent early childhood in Rochester) & Lauryn Williams (Olympic Gold/Silver Medal sprinter). Also on the list is Major General Joseph Henry Pendleton (namesake of the Marine Corp's Camp Pendleton).
