There's an article in Golf Magazine this month asking Tour Pros to talk about the best shot they ever saw on Tour. It is the best shot they SAW not necessarily hit. So what's yours??

Two shots come to mind. Not sure if they are the best, or just the luckiest.
1st was on the 10th hole at rock manor. My buddy Jules had never played the course before. Blind dogleg tee shot. He hits a fade around the corner and lands it on the fringe. Another time playing with him in Florida, some crappy course, another blind dogleg tee shot. This time he's just at the green and lands the ball on a tee. Had I not seen it I would never have believed it. Now there was this one time at band camp..... |

I've also played a course that sounds similar. It's Rock MANOR. |

Hmmmm...
The one hole in one I've seen made in person (by a 6 year old) comes to mind. He took out driver from the forward tees about 100 yards away, hit it well, bounced it up, and it rolled in. Me and my dad were awestruck. Kid's parents rightfully so went nuts. There's a guy in EKU PGM who just hits it off the tee ridiculously far, and one time in a tournament I was in the group in front of him, and on the 1st green I was reading my putt when a ball came rolling up all of the sudden, caught the edge of the hole and lipped out to go 10 feet past. That was his tee shot. It's a 379 yard hole. |

It was a few years ago on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. I had a tee time at Tidewater and was paired with other singles.
the 12th hole is a peninsula green with hitting over the marsh. One of the guys had dunked his tee shot in the marsh and was quite irritated. Instead of hitting from the drop area, he teed up again and in a nonchalant way just swung. Needless to say we watched and heard the ball hit the flag stick but couldn't see the results. When we finally got to the green, ball was in the hole and he was jumping up and down claiming a hole in one. |

I witnessed Moe Norman hit 10 balls with a 3 wood to a flag that was 230 yards away. He hit the pin with two of them.

Both were lucky shots (especially the one that landed on the tee). Sounds like a handsome guy... |

2010 at the Masters, my buddy James and I are following Phil and Westy in the final round and we were fortunate enough to be watching Phil when he hit his famous shot out of the pine straw on 13. The ball was really blocked out and swing was restricted. It was a special shot.
The day before, on Sat, he almost had 3 Eagles in row. He eagled 13, jarred his approach on 14 for a 2, and chipped from the front of the apron on 15 and lipped it out. |

Probably the most exciting Saturday in professional golf I've ever watched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvry_a.. |

I don't remember the hole at the Tiger Woods challenge in Sherwood.
I watch Freddy Couples knock the ball in with his second shot from 200+ yards. Really cool to see. |

I have to give an honourable mention to Tiger at the 2000 Canadian Open. I was just up the hill behind that bunker on 18 when he hit that shot over water right at the stick. That was ludicrous.

Watched a 15 handicapper hit a 3 wood out of a bunker to 1 inch from the pin.

We hit a hole in one with a club from the 1870's and a pre-1900 gutta percha ball. I may have been the first person to do that since 1899.
