I think it's obvious. Cold weather......from last year's playoff loss against Baltimore to this year in New England to San Diego coming in to Denver and getting him last night 27-20. Peyton Manning (New Orleans, Louisiana boy) does not handle cold weather well. High Temp in Denver yesterday....................10!!!!!!!!! With that said I would still take a fair weather favorable Peyton Manning over Romo anyday ;)

Hate to prove you wrong Buck, but his only SB win was down here in Miami and I remember it was a very cold week. It almost got down to 58! I'm not too sure how someone can perform under those conditions... I'm usually trying to light a fireplace. I give him credit for stepping up in that kind of winter weather.

He did step up during that Artic Blast yall had in Miami. Next year it's on the frozen tundra of Pheonix University so they have a good shot at it then. |

I was gonna say, it was nowhere near 10 degrees last night. All you had to do to know that was see the lack of air you could see being breathed out of of guys' mouths when they were at the line of scrimmage.
Peyton's obviously not the best cold-weather player, but he did win the only Super Bowl (so far) to have been played in imperfect conditions, and he crushed Tennessee's defense a week ago when it was 10 degrees. San Diego just played better. When you have the ball for only 20 minutes, you can't blame Peyton. Blame the Broncos' defense which could possibly the worst defense in Denver Broncos history since the merger. I seriously don't understand how Kayvon Webster could be an NFL starter. He'd be lucky to make a team in Canada. But with all the criticism of Manning's ability to play in cold weather, he's not the worst of today's elite quarterbacks in bad weather. Drew Brees is. Since joining the Saints, he has never won a playoff game outside of New Orleans except for the Super Bowl against Indianapolis, and that was on a neutral field. Look what happened in Seattle a couple weeks ago. He and the rest of that offense looked horrendous. At least Manning has won some important games in the cold. Brees never has. (FTR as some of you know I'm a big Drew Brees fan) |
