Well, I finally did it. I got my shaft, and let me tell you the low torque makes a hell of a difference. Went from a 6 torque/Stiff/57G to a 3.0/Xstiff/76G and everything is dead straight. I looked at the UST's, the Aldila's and a few other's but the deciding factor was finding one with the Nike tip installed so all I had to do was screw the head on it. http://dallasgolf.com/p-23717-.. This is what I bought. Aldila RIP Phenom, X-stiff, 3.0 torque, 76 G, Low launch, High bend point. Was a little pricey at $170 but as much as some of the others I saw at twice that much. I was never a believer in the shafts making a difference. I always thought I could adjust my swing around the shaft, but I'll tell you now. That shaft makes a HUGE difference!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the info and advice everyone. I took a little piece of advice from everyone and alot of research before making this decision and I am so glad I did. I would also like to say that dallasgolf.com was a huge help. Once I made my decision to buy it it was a Wednesday. I called them up, place my order. I asked him if I could get it by the weekend I would appreciate it. He said they normally don't but he would get a rush on it and sent out that day. Of course I called them as soon as they opened Wednesday morning so that helped. Friday when I got home from work it was sitting on my back porch.

That sounds great, BUCKNUT! I'm a big proponent of a properly fitted shaft! My shaft is an Oban 6 Devotion low torque, low launch, for a slow swing, and I love it. My fairways in regulation is way up as is my distance. Good luck and congratulations! P.S. It cost more than my Titleist 910 D2 with stock shaft!

Not to knock him down with comment but with his video clip representing how he would hit a golf ball. He's be lucky to reach 230 from the tee ( with roll ).

Well, I finally did it. I got my shaft, and let me tell you the low torque makes a hell of a difference. Went from a 6 torque/Stiff/57G to a 3.0/Xstiff/76G and everything is dead straight. I looked at the UST's, the Aldila's and a few other's but the deciding factor was finding one with the Nike tip installed so all I had to do was screw the head on it.

I would also like to say that dallasgolf.com was a huge help. Once I made my decision to buy it it was a Wednesday. I called them up, place my order. I asked him if I could get it by the weekend I would appreciate it. He said they normally don't but he would get a rush on it and sent out that day. That sounds great, BUCKNUT! I'm a big proponent of a properly fitted shaft! My shaft is an Oban 6 Devotion low torque, low launch, for a slow swing, and I love it. My fairways in regulation is way up as is my distance. Good luck and congratulations!
P.S. It cost more than my Titleist 910 D2 with stock shaft!
