I'm traveling to the DC/Virginia/Maryland area this weekend and going to play some golf.

On Friday, I'm playing Renditions.

On Thursday, I'm thinking about playing General's Ridge in VA. But, I'm open to other suggestions.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions on courses to play or tips on those two courses?

Thanks.

I'm a big fan of The Gauntlet, see my blog. Only played there once, well twice in the same day, but came away very impressed. Bull Run is pretty awesome, Virginia Oaks is very nice and can be had for a good price if you sniff around the discount sites. If you are out near the Western edge of Virginia, Heritage Oaks is another favorite of mine in Harrisonburg. Also in that area, the Mountain Course at Massenutten resort will keep you on your toes.

Bunch of courses in that area I have not played and would like to. If you find anything you really like be sure to post something.

Rasberry Falls Golf Club in Leesburg, VA is a little outside the DC area. The course is a links setup with deep scottish style bunkers and designed by Gary Player.

I second Lindsey's recommendation. If you're in the Frederick, MD area (west of Baltimore) I'd also recommend Musket Ridge, Maryland National, Whiskey Creek and Worthington Manor.
