What kind of golf bag do you favor: staff, cart, stand, or carry? ...and why? What do you look for in the type of bag you favor? What is your favorite bag?

I have only 2 requirements for my bag. I need individual slots for each club, and it MUST be able to hold a 12 pack easily.

Stand. Have had a light blue Nike one for a few years now. EKU PGM sells bags for $140 with their logo and your name on it. Once I can spend some money on things like that, I'll get one.

Cart bag, all the way. Plenty of room for rain gear, wind shirt, extra balls, etc... But the real reason is that I walk over 2/3 of my rounds with a push cart and ride the rest in a cart. So, why would I make things more complicated with legs on my bag when the bag is always on a cart of some sort? I like having one slot per club too.

Get an A in that math class and I'll buy you that bag.

I have a Sun Mountain C30 cart bag that I really like. It has individual slots for each club and a holder for umbrella and lots of pockets. I do have a stand bag that I use on the push cart when the mood strikes me to walk in the winter and spring. The stand bag also fits the travel case better than the cart bag does.

Have one of each, a cart and stand bag. Looking forward to walking a bit more this coming spring.

Less is more for me. I only have a carry bag so no matter if I walk, pull cart or ride this bag is all I use. Fits everything I need. Ultra light and since I don't get drunk on the course I don't need room for a case of beer.

Ogio cart bag with 14 individual slots plus a putter slot and umbrella holder. I previously had a stand bag and miss it a bit but only on the range because the cart bag tends to fall over when the grass is uneven. I have jumped a bit high when the bag falls as I am concentrating on a shot. I like lots of pockets and my current bag meets that requirement. It fits great on my cart for walking and on a riding cart when I use one.

I've had a Taylor Made Tour Lite stand bag for about 60 rounds and it is crap. Legs bent within the first couple rounds and it's missing most of the zipper pulls now. Storage is adequate enough for extra clothes, gear and food.

I also have an Ogio cart bag for when my back bothers me and I need to ride or use a push cart. It almost has too many pockets but I like the Woode divider to keep clubs organized. I rarely use it now even if I ride since its is a pain to transfer everything and then remember where it is.

I'm looking to go a Sun Mountain Four 5 or the Titleist Lightweight 14 Way bag. Both are light enough to carry but have the individual club dividers and lots storage.

I have a carry bag and a staff bag. I'm slowly moving over to the staff bag for two reasons. Firstly, I'm starting to push more than I carry and a staff bag has room for everything and is nicer on a push cart. Secondly, It's difficult to get all my clubs in the carry bag. I use Golf Pride Multicompound Mid Size grips with 8 wraps under them + a SuperStroke putter grip and it's a lot easier to get them in and out of a staff bag.

I use a mid weight cart bag when walking and using a bag boy zero turn three wheeled push cart. If weather is questionable and I 'm sure I'm going to ride, I go with the 14" leather staff bag.
