What kind of golf bag do you favor: staff, cart, stand, or carry? ...and why? What do you look for in the type of bag you favor? What is your favorite bag?

Ogio cart bag with 14 individual slots plus a putter slot... So if I'm reading that right, you have to be careful to keep one slot unused in order to stay within the 14 club limit? |

I've had a Taylor Made Tour Lite stand bag for about 60 rounds and it is crap. Good to know Shawn. |

Used to have both but I found it tiresome to have to transfer clubs and stuff between the two. Just down to the cart bag... Good for walking with my push cart or riding... Plus, I need the extra room for gear for surviving the zombie Apocalypse.

So what got me thinking about this was I recently went through the bag shopping process myself. I walk almost exclusively, so I'm always looking for a carry bag with a strapping system that can do it all. Even though I'm carrying I need the pockets for carrying rain gear, layering and any accessories I might need. Of course, what I have in the large pockets varies by time of year. Like many of you I really like having separate dividers for all 14 clubs. Those requirements tend to eliminate most stand bags getting me down to my short list. I ended up buying the Nike Performance Hybrid Carry Bag pictured here. I actually replaced an earlier version of this bag. Serves me well.
I really enjoyed hearing the different choices and priorities each of you have in a bag. |

I expect to get another one of these babies in 2 months from now. I switched to a carry bag before the summer because I had my summer stop at Beth Page Black planned and it is a walking only course. I then used it to carry a round at Streamsong this summer and twice at Torrey Pines. I still prefer to put it on a golf cart though.

I always thought what I saw at Pebble was a Hollywood production to make easterners think there is real weather out there. |

My new bag as i plan to do a bit more walking this year. That bag looks very able for 18 at Beth Page Black, Joe. I'll add you to my agenda this summer. Don will be joining us too. |

I'll see you in Charlotte? You'll be our 4th, Vince. I filled Don in last summer on how to play Beth Page Black for $38.00. I will impart that wisdom to you as well. (It's what I do) |

Cart bag. Like others, I walk 2/3 of the time with a push cart and the rest of the rounds are played with a power cart. I have no interest in carrying my bag so the 14 way divider + putter well and enough front pocket space to hold the 36 balls I loose per round is much appreciated. Stand legs just get in the way. Mine is a Nike bag which hasn't been available for a year or two. |
