The most shameless thing in golf I've ever seen

Watch this. http://www.foxsports.com/golf/.. This blondie will fit right in at Duke doing stuff like that. One of the saddest things I've ever seen happen in a golf tournament. Also of note: for how good her ball striking was based on that highlight package, how in the world was she 2 down with 3 holes to play?

I've watched this and really the result was a no win situation for either player. The caddy/coach for Shepherd asked the question and she responded. In the heat of competition it was a legitimate question to raise as each was vying for a spot in the finals. Moon also took for granted, which was most likely going to happen, that the putt was going to be conceded. Lesson learn? Take nothing for granted in match play. You may not like it Ethan but you may find yourself in that position to actually rule in such a situation.

Moon reached to rake that ball back immediately after it stopped rolling, followed by Shepherd looking back (I assume at her caddie) as if to say "what is she doing"?. She didn't even have the chance to utter the words "that's good". It was a huge assumption on Moon's part and unfortunate that she reacted so quickly to missing. Shepherd even said it wasn't the way she wanted to win, neither would I but I see it as MUCH more Moon's fault than anything Shepherd didn't even have the time to react to.

Shepherd got what could be a lucky break to some extent. Never assume a putt is conceded. It was within 1' when she raked it back, but she didn't even look to her opponent to make sure. If she would have glanced to Shepherd, different story, but she assumed and Shepherd took appropriate advantage of it and was well within the rules.

I had it done to me COG and it made study the rules better and become a more "aware" golfer during tournaments. You honor the rules of match play. This is entirely different than a viewer calling in a penalty; there's no place for that. But you need to concede a putt and not assume anything. The girl said "I didn't concede the putt, but I was going to". She wasn't doing anything wrong. She was in an awkward situation but her reaction was right.

How about when someone concedes a putt to me and knocks it back to me, when in fact I wanted to putt it? Is that a penalty on him for playing the wrong ball? Because that is what my brother always does when we play. He concedes everything for the first 12-13 holes so that I never get a chance to putt the short ones. Then after that he just smiles and says, "putt it biotch!" Its the only way he has a chance to beat me.

Would be interesting to see how she acted earlier when she conceded short putts. Had she previously conceded longer putts? Having said that never assume anything.

I watched that over and over again. Moon reached to rake that ball back immediately after it stopped rolling, followed by Shepherd looking back (I assume at her caddie) as if to say "what is she doing"?. She didn't even have the chance to utter the words "that's good". It was a huge assumption on Moon's part and unfortunate that she reacted so quickly to missing. Shepherd even said it wasn't the way she wanted to win, neither would I but I see it as MUCH more Moon's fault than anything Shepherd didn't even have the time to react to.
