Hello All
I am posting this message for my brother, most of you know him as Racer888 on the site. He wants everyone to know he and family are ok. Sandy laid waste to the Lower west side of Manhattan where Jim's building is located. As some of you know he manages a Luxury Highrise right on the Hudson river. Storm water penetrated the first floor of the building as approximately 8 feet of water overflowed the river into the streets. Power was finally restored Saturday morning to the area and the massive job of clean up and repair has begun. He wants to wish his friends and those who got hit even harder throughout the area and especially in parts of New Jersey that they and their families are all ok. He knows that there are many less fortunate people that will either take a long time or never recover from the damage this storm brought to the tri state area and other parts of the eastern seaboard. I am sure he will be back on line next week and can give more details. Good Luck and well wishes to everyone.

Glad to hear that your doing well, I went to visit my sister in Va and was in the mess along the mountains during Sandy which is not even close to the bigger mess along the coast.
So is that going to affect your fantasy game, lol Cause you need to lose atleast once...j/k your having season.

Glasd to hear he is ok. We escaped serious damage here in VA. I'm sure he has a lot of hard work ahead with all the clean up. Things will be back to normal before you know it!

Tell Jim we're really glad he and his family are okay. Fact is we do care about each other on here and so his and your extra effort to let us know how they are doing is much appreciated.

Good news to hear he and his family are okay. The cleanup has to be hard so they will remain in my prayers along with everyone else who have suffered loss in this storm. Hard to beat down American spirit.

Hard to beat down American spirit.

The election has done that.

I've been in three floods and the aftermath is hard. But I found it also can bring communities together in some marvelous ways. I hope Jim and his family find this silver lining among all that is ahead.

Well I am back on line. Thank you to all for the good thoughts and well wishes. Haven't been able to spend much time getting caught up on the on line stuff as we are starting the repair process after Sandy and are now bracing for another storm. We are very fortunate to be in a building that took minor damage compared to others in the area and in New Jersey. We also are in a building that the damages will be an inconvenience to the residents even though my estimates are just under a million for the repairs. Many in the surrounding area, especially Battery Park (just a 1/4 mile down the street) took a much worse hit and many people are without a place to live. And now we are bracing for another storm expected to hit tomorrow bringing severe cold weather, rain and high winds. Strange how your priorities in life can change in a minutes notice. When Sandy was hitting us and the Hudson River was rushing through our lobby many things that seemed important before didn't even come close to making the list at that moment. As the water kept rising and the building was looking more like a castle with a moat around it the water was at our door just starting to enter the apartment. My wife and I were tossing everything up onto the beds and tables to protect what we could and then the tide stopped and started receding. That was one scary moment. Well off to work and assessing more of the damages. We are very fortunate!!

Glad to hear you substained minor stuff compared to what it could have been or what it was in other area's 888. Good to hear you and the family are good to go. Now quit kicking everyone's ass in Fantasy Football! lol

I wouldn't call this weeks win an ass kicking, just squeaked by. I had my brother in law set the lineup as I could not get on line for obvious reasons. Brown getting injured looked like it would cost me the win.
