How much did you get to play this year?

Did you get to play as much as you wanted? Was it the same old course, or was there some variety?

I played a lot less golf in 2011 and I hope to change that in 2012. 2009- 76 rounds, 2010- 78.5 rounds, 2012 37.5 rounds. That being said I did have many memorable golf rounds this year. In May I hit my 2nd hole in one on the last hole of a scramble at Debary Country Club. We shot -14 and won! At the end of the summer I traveled back to my hometown for 2+ weeks and played some new courses and some old favorites with my father! Played a course in SE Michigan called Legacy by Arthur Hills for the first time. Loved it so much that I played it the very next day, right before flying home to FL. My Dad and I were paired up with one of Arthur Hills designers and that was a great experience. But the most memorable experience was the few days I got to play golf with my Dad in Myrtle Beach over Thanksgiving. Going to MB is nothing new but I played World Tour and True Blue for the first time. Just me and pops. And at World Tour I got a pic with the old man on the Replica of the Swilcan Bridge(#18 @ St Andrews). Priceless!! Happy New Years to everyone!

For all those who answered this question: What do you do for a living that allows you such free time? Can't be office office work. I am as weasely as they come as far as sneaking out of my cubicle and I only get ~45 rounds per year. So you must be doing something else...what? I'm a shift worker and have a lot of schedule time off but do have to cover most call off's plus have a partner than covers too. Get to play mostly wk days and that is a big plus to me, also down here in S.E Texas the conditions are almost good except when the heat rises above 100 deg's. Funny thing is ( is how much my wife allows me to play so much ). wd

I have a very golf friendly boss. Sometimes during the spring and summer we will only work half a day and then play the rest of the day. WHAT!?!?!?!?!?! Are there any openings at this company? Good googly moogly.

I played 40 rounds on 20 diffrent courses this year, probably about 5 rounds under an average year for me. 7 month season here in Chicago.

I played about 25 rounds. There were several before I found out about this site. I played all new courses this year since I got back into golf.

60+ rounds. Don't see myself playing that much this year. My rounds were scattered all over the place. Alot of rounds at my home course of Ft Myers CC. But alot of those rounds are from November to April when everthing else to too expensive. Had 2 sub 70 rounds which I hope to at least have that many again. Of course I'm still seeking that 1st hole in one, you never know when it will come. Maybe this will be the year.

32.5 rounds at 17 courses, 14 of them new to me. Worked alot in TX this year so got a change of scenery. Very nice courses and great prices compared to here in LA. This is my first year back playing after being out of the game for 6 years. Dropped my handicap from 24 to 16.6 and shot a new personal best of 79. Hopefully 2012 will be a better year for all of us.

I managed to fit in 31 rounds in the last 7 months of the year so I will count that as a success. LIke everyone I would like to play more but my handicap has gone from a 9.2 to a 6.5 in that time so I can't complain. I love to play new courses so I played probably 15 during that span.

Rediscovered golf back in August and instantly regained the obsession. Played about 30 rounds.

36 recorded 18 hole rounds Probably 60 or so go to the course and play 5 to 9 holes/practice etc Golf is a little different being a member, it has become more of a social atmosphere rahter then a task to complete on the weekend.

30 in 2010, 20 in 2011 if I get 15 this year I will be surprised. Young kids will do that to you. That's when you can be glad this is a game for a lifetime. You will have years ahead when you'll have more time for golf--and the game will be there waiting for you.
