I just ordered a Diamana Blueboard 63 stiff flex shaft for my driver. I currently play a TM R5 dual with stiff stock shaft. i am hopping to get some more distance out of this new shaft, my current ball flight is a mid high baby draw that goes about 265. Anyone else play this shaft? What are your thoughts? Thanks.

I demo'd one just to see the what the difference is becasue I play a "Made for Titleist" Blueboard. I'm sorry to tell you that while the real thing give you a tighter ball flight, it's not a yard longer than my made for shaft. Felt nicer though.

Most shaft upgrades, although some will give you a few extra yards, they serve you better by providing more consistency over a stock shaft. Also, it should feel better and may 'tweak' your normal ball flight pattern too.

J/C-did you demo one first, or are you buying 'blind' based on the awesome reviews on this shaft?

I am buying blind based on reviews I have read. I got a good deal on it so I figured I would try it out and if I dont like it i can swith back to stock.

I think the shaft that I ordered is a made for even though it does not say it. I read on the diamina website that all aftermarket shafts are .335 tips and my driver is a .350 tip so I would need a shaft designed for OEM. Is there a difference in performance and quality?

That's cool you got a good deal on it. I only asked about demoing first, b/c shafts are meant to be fitted to your individual swing, just like most other golf products today. If you don't get the improved results your after, maybe go to a reptuable fitter/tester, where you will be able to demo numerous brands, flexes, types, etc., and they will help fit you to the shaft that will give you the best results.

Either way, you got a really good shaft, so I hope it works for you.

Well I got the shaft yesterday but I have mixed feelings about switching shafts now because I have been hitting my driver so well. I think I am going to bring my driver and shaft to a fitter this week to get on the launch monitor with my current setup and then see what they say I sould go with. I dont want to loose any accuracy, that is my top priority.
