Work on specific shots to improve score
Posted by bmoody16 2/1/2012 11:03:25 AM

Over the past few years I have spent a lot of time working on specific situational shots. It has really dropped my scores. I have gone from a 10 to a 5 handicap. Yesterday I finally hit a great 3/4 PW from 100 yards to 1 foot (into about a 10 mph wind). Its a shot I have been working on for 6-9 months now. Being able to hit a lower shot is really important when dealing with wind.

Posted by bmoody16 6/13/2011 11:29:23 PM

My wife is about to have a baby soon. I probably won't be playing too much golf. Any ideas of how to keep your game fresh during the 2-3 months of hardly playing any rounds? I live about 1/4 of a mile from a golf course, a...

Playing from the correct Tee Box
Posted by bmoody16 10/5/2009 2:56:18 PM

Sometimes I look at the scores posted on the courses I play at. I realize that it can be tempting to play from the second to last tees all the time, but let me suggest that if you are shooting 95+ regularly you might want to move up. I keep seeing people with high scores playing almost all the way back to the champion tees.
