2/2/2012 7:08:58 AM I actually have tried to avoid partial wedge shots by planning ahead on holes. Why hit driver on a 340 yard hole when I more than likely will have a partial wedge left? I try to leave myself 100-110 to the hole whenever possible. |

2/1/2012 2:50:25 PM I practice hitting low rescue shots as if I'm in the trees, etc. It definitely gives confidence when you really are in those situations. I'm working on hitting 3/4 shots with a lot of my irons (when the situation is right). I like hitting my clubs full. So it has taken a lot of discipline for me to work on only swinging back 3/4 of the way. The big thing I have learned is not to slow my swing down, just the length of my swing. I think a lot of people decelerate when they take something off, and it messed up their shot. Good luck with the hook shot. Its really important to get confidence with those kinds of shots. |

2/1/2012 1:32:16 PM If any thing I will play around a little to much on the range, a 1/2 to 3/4 PW is a shot I use on the course alot. I have been working on the 7iron big hook shot for a bout 6 months. it's not in the bag yet hope to have it this year. |

2/1/2012 11:05:05 AM also...on the range I practice hitting crazy hook and slice shots with my 7 and 6 irons at different trajectories. You never know when you might need to hit one of these. Be creative on the range. It will help. |
