2/24/2012 6:29:58 PM Gotta try Crosswinds in Plymouth, MA if you are in the area. It's got 3 nine's, and though not super long, it's always been in great condition, and has a lot of interesting looks. They are working on the clubhouse now, so excited to see what that'll look like when completed. It's def worth the $55 or $60 for 18, a cart, and a bucket |

Lake Lanier is absolutely gorgeous, the Georgia Club is always immaculate, Crystal Lakes, Eagles Landing, the Manor, Brasstown Valley (in the mountains), Stonebridge in Rome Ga, Monroe Golf and Country club, Stone Mountain and there's still many, many more..Oh and by the way, all these courses play from $30-$50 on golfnow.. |

6/30/2011 5:51:39 PM There is a public course in McCook, Nebraska, kind of in the middle of nowhere, that is absolutely awesome. It's called Heritage Hills. It's about halfway between Omaha and Denver, in southwestern Nebraska. It's really kind of hard to describe and do it justice. Trust me though; I used to drive four hours to play it, and everyone I've ever brought there thinks it's this amazing, undiscovered gem. I used to live in Omaha and I've played all over the state of Nebraska and this is the best, at least the most unusual and fun, golf course. Green fees are probably around $40-50. |

5/25/2011 10:50:09 AM I had a chance to play Tokatee Golf Course on the McKenzie River about 47 miles east of Eugene this week and it was one of the best courses for scenery I have ever played! They had a PGA pro am this week there also, but it is open to the public, and just a great place way in the mountains to visit. All kinds of old growth trees with cedar trees that looked like redwoods!!! I highly recommend this course if you are in Southern Oregon! This course has got all kinds of great reviews and is very reasonable in terms of cost, so if you get a chance put this one on the on your agenda! |

My goal is to find the best public courses in every state. Where can the average golfer from a different state play. I want to create this group to help golfers like me. There are so many courses out there and so many false advertisements, I just want to find the gems. Maybe courses no one has heard of. Maybe courses that are new. I hope by joining this group you can help all of us golfers find the nicest, affordable, and memorable golf courses in the United States. Thanks. |
