Well who's waking up at 2am to watch the Open???? Come on it's St. Andrews the birth place of golf! They've been playing golf there since the 1400's. That's a little older than most of us. The course is looking in great shape. Can Jordan pull off 3 out of 4? Will Tiger get out of his own head and play golf again? Ever? If not Jordan will another American rise to the top? Ricky? Bubba? Matt?

Just because they've been playing golf there for 6 centuries doesn't mean I can't get 6 more hours of sleep.
Spieth wins in a playoff over LyinLewis, Tiger makes the cut and plays decently but doesn't contend, Tom Watson makes the cut because damn it he can't have his last Open be a missed cut, and John Daly finishes better than Jim Furyk much to Jay's disappointment. |

LOL oh the DVR is set for sure. And yes no commercials is the way to go.
Wow some bold predictions for sure. I like that John Daly makes the cut. And yes I wouldn't want Tom's last Open to be a missed cut. Would not surprise me if Tiger makes the cut. Not his biggest fan, but he has changed the game forever. Sleep is important. But this is the OPEN. |

Horrible predictions COG! You missed every one. LyinLewis doesn't make the cut because his current irons fail him. That prompts him to dig into the trust fund and buy some Japanese brand and have them specially etched. (Future forums to come on that). Daly makes the cut and goes head to head with Jim Furyk (whe sets an Open record of 59). Unfortunately for John, Furyk jars a 65 foot putt on the 18th hole to send it into a playoff and the town of Fife runs out of Diet Coke and John is carried back to the clubhouse with a DNF. Tiger hits one in the burn on 1 and it's all downhill from there. And Tom Watson makes the cut and then wins the Sr. Open next week for an exemption next year. |

Isn't someone playing with his hickory shaft clubs? |

Tiger's quest for another Open Championship is officially over. +4 after 8. Only 4 greens in regulation. Too bad.
Meanwhile Spieth has hit 100% of fairways and greens and goes out in a smooth 31. UPDATE: 11 out of 11 greens and Fairways and another birdie. -6 |

Actually, since I live in beautiful Miami (East Coast) I only had to wake up at 4:00 am which one hour earlier than my usual wake up time, which I did. And BTW DVR doesn't beat live sports, not even close, and sorry if I sound old fashion, but it is what it is. |

I tried turning my antenna every direction and I still can't find 'The Open'. You need to face it East towrds the UK Don... and try wrapping some tim foil on the top of it. It helped me. |
