There are a lot of great things about this game, and a lot of ways to enjoy it. I thought I'd share one from an experience I had yesterday. Feel free to share yours.

Two guys in their early to mid 60s we get paired up with. Come to find out they've known each other since Kindergarten. Obviously, there was a lot of 'history' and the banter between them flew the whole round. Neither were what you would consider highly skilled and that didn't matter a whit. They had long since figured out how their games stacked up against each other and had these epic stroke play battles for decades. Yesterday we got to witness one.

Their game wasn't decided until the 18th green and Bob celebrated jubilantly after he sunk his 3 footer for the match. They always had the same bet. What did they play for? A cardboard crown one of them obtained from Burger King long ago. The winner got to proudly display the crown in his home until the next match. If they tied, the last winner retained the crown...just like the Ryder Cup.

One of the things that makes this game great is the endless ways it can be enjoyed.
