I realize some of us still play, and I'm not fishing for your game improvement plan, we can have a separate topic on that. But now presumably you've got some free time. What's coming up that you are looking forward to doing, or other important stuff you've got planned that you'd like to share?

I purposely started my project after the season ended 10/31. I've scraped, skim coated and painted my living room and dining room ceiling. Also brightened up both rooms with some lighter wall colors and pulled up the ugly living room rug in favor of an area rug and to show off the beautiful hardwood floors that havent been seen for almost 20 years. Moved some furniture into different rooms.

I've got 4 more months before golf is back in season so I'm sure there will be a few more things yet. One being an update to our bedroom which still has its original rug of at least 25 years. Another is replacing the banged up interior doors with new ones.

For this week and next, getting through my first ever Dead Week as a college student and getting as high of grades as possible for my first semester and hopefully not having to re-take math next semester. Hopefully going to interview and land a job at a prestigious golf course in Colorado where I'll spend next summer interning. Outside of that, just relaxing, enjoying the holiday season, and cheering on God's favorite football team.

I think I will continue doing what I do best. Drinking lots of beer and smoking fine cigars. Yeah, that sounds like a cure for the winter time blues.

Hopefully some wet golf and then in January a trip to Maui for some dry golf, then come back home for a couple more months of wet golf. In May I begin an 18 month planning stage towards retirement. YOOHOO. 43 years in criminal justice then out to see what kind of life I have missed elsewhere.

In my free time away from golf I am usually hunting, fishing or shooting.

1) relax and adjust to the new BP meds
2) make some money to replace or repair my 5W and 3W
3) range time to get the swing groove deeper
4) get the proper tempo engrained.
5) not to break any more clubs.

You and Duckhunter (Troy) would enjoy the off season together.

Only one goal, make it through the off season and tee it up as early as I can in 2015. I do feel a Florida trip coming.

Yeah AG, if you find him in a bluff somewhere, tell him we all say HI. He pulled an Andy Dufresne on us a year ago and has been permanently Duck hunting ever since... like so many others.

I'm with Jaypet.. just like the Tiger Woods ad of long ago: "There are no rainy days."

There are 3 things in life:

A wife that can cook.
A putter that can putt.
A slab of bacon that sizzles.

Isn't this a John Denver song??

You pretty much just summed up my winter.

I'm working on my conditioning though as I'll be joining a new Rugby Union club next summer. I took the last two seasons off due to the shoulder injury. I'm also swinging a weighted club and will start back to my regular trips to the (heated, thank God) range right after bird season is over.
