Folks, I've been registered on MGS for about a month now and I have enjoyed being on here. The website is great and the Handicap Service with stats is outstanding. I am based in Hyderabad, India and have created Tees for three golf clubs in our area (two more on the way). I plan to setup Tees for more golf courses from here in India. Hopefully a few more golfers from India will find MGS as useful as I have and join up. For stateside golfers, if you happen to be in our neck of the woods, we'd be glad to have you over as our guest. Thanks guys ... its great to meet fellow golfers everywhere. Shaun the monsoon is still a good 2-3 weeks away. Its blazing heat for us right now (107 degrees in the afternoons!) so we play early mornings when its cooler. My four ball tees off at about 5:45 am when its a relatively cool 87 degrees LOL. Who's a bigger star in India: Viswanathan Anand or Arjun Atwal? Is this a trick question? LOL. In terms of golf, Jeev Milkha SIngh is bigger than Atwal. For some reason Atwal hasn't got the same recognition. Viswanathan Anand captured the country's imagination when he took on all comers in chess and became #1. There are lot more people playing chess than golf in India. |
