I always find myself trying to have my clubs either all from the same line, think G15 or Sumo or from the same manufacturer. I don't know why I do it it is completely irrational but if I buy a set of say Hogan irons, I am instantly trying to get a Hogan bag, woods, towel, wedge set whatever as long as it all matches. Anyone else get this way?

At one time I played all Hogan irons and Apex Tour balls, but that's the closest I've come. Driver was Cobra.

Now I'm sporting a Wishon component driver, Sonartec hybrids, Callaway irons, Cleveland wedges, Rife putter and Bridgestone golf balls. I'm also thinking of switching to Srixon balls.

I try and put in as much Nike as I can. They're the brand that shows up most in my bag along with 2 RAM's, a Tommy Armour, and an Odyssey.

I play from the same line...Mizuno's. I feel by playing with the same line there will be more consistency between clubs. Especially with the irons.

You could say I'm a Titleist guy, but I still switch some stuff in and out. My driver and irons are Titleist (983K and 695mb), and I have Vokey wedges and a 585.H hybrid.

With that said, my 3 and 5 woods are old Cleveland Launchers. I like Titleist fairway woods too, but the Launchers have simply been in the bag for forever...they work just fine, so why change 'em?

There's other stuff I'll switch out as well. I have an Adams 4 hybrid I'll game some days. I also have two other sets of irons...some Hogan Redlines and some Mizuno MP-14s. I need to cut down the shafts of the Mizunos and put some new grips on them before I start playing them a bunch, but once I do they'll make their way into the bag from time to time.

And I've got 4 different putters...an Odyssey, two old MacGregors, and a Yes. Any one of those can sneak their way in.

I think were guilty to that to some extent. I recently had all NIKE in the bag with the exception of a putter. Slowly though, the wedges came out, went back to the old reliable and 2 weeks ago the Nike VR driver came out. Went back to the Cobra. I think it becomes a fantasy to some, wear the gear and play the gear and we feel like were on the tour. for others, it really doesn't matter. And at the end of the day, you need to play what works best.

Luke, no that's not me.

Current 'set'. Callaway driver, Taylormade 3-wood, no-name hybrid, Mizuno irons, Cleveland and Titleist wedges, and Odyssey putter. O and a Titleist ball and Nike stand bag.

Had an equally mixed set of different brand clubs about six years ago that were stolen and I replaced everything in the bag with something different except for the putter.

I did change the putter from a heel to a center shafted model, so I guess it wasn't exactly the same.

All my stuff is Cobra except for the Odyssey putter and Bridgestone balls. Just seems to be a more consistent feel. First set of clubs way back looked like an Easter Basket, pretty much whatever someone left behind!

I'm a Taylormade guy, but in the next few years I am going to build another set, either Titleist, Nike, or Adams

Nope I'm eclectic...Callaway driver, 3W, 3h, LW. Cleveland 5w, 4i-PW set, DW, SW. Never Compromise putter, Srixon towel and fogger towel, Nike Bag. Balls: callaway hx pearls, Top flite D2 divas, Nike crush, MC lady, Maxfli revolutions (mens). Ok so maybe not all that eclectic now that I named it all out, mostly Cleveland. I don't have a variety to pick from like the men do. If I'm gonna spend $$$ on clubs etc. They're gonna be something that will last and ones that work for me no matter the combination of brands.

all Taylormade except a Cleveland Halo 4 hybrid, a Cleveland CG12 60 degree, and an Odyssey Sabertooth putter. my bag doesn't have a name on it. almost got a Taylormade bag but figured down the road if i made a switch than i'd be stuck with a bag that didn't match. love my bag though, it's pretty big and black and jdubs saw it at Kmart and i went and snatched it before he could, it was like $50

Yep. Of the 17 clubs I make my 14 from, 16 are Titleist.

I also stick to ProV1s when things matter.

I don't have to have towels, tees, ball markers, gloves, hats, socks, etc., with "Titleist" printed on them. In fact, I refuse to pay money for a golf towel or shag bag.

I've been loyal to Ping Hoofer (or Hoofer 2) golf bags, but I like Sun Mountain and Titelist bags, too ... and others.

The next set of irons I buy may or may not be Titleist. I'll definitely give Titleist clubs a first try, but Mizuno and TaylorMade also make irons I'm sure I'd like.

I just happened to find a consistancy with the clubs I play and liked them. Callaway with the exception of my 60 degree Cleveland wedge, which I plan on replacing soon, probably give Callaway a shot there. Played a Ping putter until I had to use a rental set that had an Odyssey. I immediately purchased one when I got home.
