This is a picture of a college team suspended for this unofficial racy team photo. One said that they wanted to be different. Does this bring negative attention to golf? The college students said they didn't think anything was wrong with the picture. They posed in the buff, with just golf clubs covering their man parts. It didn't sit well with the coach when he found out what happened. Wonder where the coach was when the photo was being taken, and he needs to question his assistants as well for not telling him before it got out to the public. Someone had to sit them down and tell all of them why this was wrong, really? The photo was leaked on FB and wild fire spreaded all the way back to the coaches inbox. Looks like all of the team members participated in the photo.

Side note: I am not trying to offend anyone. I didn't take the picture or do the article. Just want to know what you think about it. This was in the yahoooooo news.

New meaning to the term "head cover". People need to get over themselves. If you're offended by that picture don't leave the house or turn on the television cause it's alot worse.

It doesn't bother me, but I can see where it would create a problem seeing that they do represent an institution. I'm sure if a bunch of McDonald's men posed naked with Happy Meal boxs hanging off thier shafts they would be fired.

I did see the article. I also note the school is a Lutheran College, perhaps the faith based nature of the school factored heavily into the decision. Maybe if the players were attending ASU or Ohio none would be at all shocked.

Isn't Bethany College's nickname the Gamecocks?

Regardless it was inappropriate. If I was coach of this team there would have been disciplinary action.

Faux pas. I should have said their reputations weren't tarnished.

The captain plans to appeal the punishment by the coach. Are you serious???? You took naked team pics with only your club covering up your "male area" and you leak it out on a social site, then the coach gets a hold of it, and is supposed to be just laugh. Ha ha, you guys, lets get back to golf..... yeah right. Someone should remind them that life is about decisions and taking responsibility for the decisions that you make. Apparently the coach must have trusted this young man to take a group picture. Great leadership. He will look back on this, well someone will look back on this in their 30's and say, dang, that was really a dumb move. Might be funny now, and wait until it is brought up in your interview for that real job. I can explain that, we were just.....

I don't think they understand that they have embarrassed their coach or university nationally.

People are soft, and don't take soft the wrong way the context I said it in. Like Slicer said there's lots worst stuff out there. They're in college after all. Have fun. That's all it was, a good shot of humor. I thought it was funny.

When I was in college I had fun. I got an education and part of that education was being a responsible person.

I just wonder what we would be saying if it was the football team or the basketball team in this type of picture.

I agree I have seen worse, but being a church school. The boys knew better and I'm sure their folks and families are little unhappy as well.
Boys will be boys....not this time, I'm tired of people playing innocent so they can get away with something. True this isn't a crime but the punishment dealt to them I think was light and could have been stronger.
As a coach if any of my boys did something like this, they'd be removed from the team.
