I'm sure if you have played a round of golf, you have heard this before, or you have found yourself on the other end of this quesion asking.

A. Have you ever lost something on the course, if so, what and what did it mean to you?

B. Have you ever returned something or did you put a cover over it and keep it?

I have lost my company's blackberry while playing one evening, and I went crazy. I got up the next morning at the crack of dawn thinking I would have to start at hole 1 and start looking. It doesn't help if your golf game is bad and you have to ride around the entire hole looking like a zig zag puzzle. I found it on the 2nd hole, well the group found it and returned it. I was like, how in the world are you'll out here playing golf and the sun hasn't even come up. Anyway, they found it, and returned it. It never functioned the same because it had gotten wet, and I found it.

Recently I was playing and I may have been 16th hole and a guy came up and said excuse me have you seen a pair of red shades on the fairway, and I was like, sir I haven't even seen the fairway, lololl and he stopped and started laughing. On the same course on the 17th I did call the 3-some infront of me because someone left a club on the green.

My son left a 7 iron on the course one day. We asked every day for a week for it. after 7 days of asking there it was. A guy put it in his bag and turned it in the next time he played.

I have turned in many clubs and head covers, One time there was a small box in the fairway I picked it up and was thinking there would be some kind of yardage tool in there. No it was some weed. The group in front of came back looking for it but was not going to ask. I gave it back.

I almost spit out my cereal, lololololololol about the box wow!!!!

I guess when we take 2 clubs especially around the green, your concentration is really just getting the ball into the hole that you forget you even had 2 clubs. I have left my PW, my chipper. Luckily I was able to find them in the dark lololol. A week of asking, wow, you'll were deteremined to find that club. Great story and I'm glad you'll found it.

I lost a 9-iron. Never got it back. Kept checking for days and even weeks afterwards. I've found clubs and headcovers and have either given them back to the owner who came back looking for it or taken it to the pro shop.

I've found a bunch of clubs, and either found the owner in front of us, or we turned them in to the Pro Shop at the end of the round. I lost a Diawa Hi-Trac 8-iron in Myrtle Beach on the 2nd day of an 8-day trip years ago. I kept calling the course, but no one ever turned it in. I could never understand that. I can see someone not turning in a nice Vokey wedge, but why in the world would anyone want an 8-iron? Had to order a new one from Edwin Watts.

I had a Callaway Range Finder that I lost on the course. Of course, it wasn't turned in. And that same day I cracked the head on my new Callaway FT Tour. This was one of my worst golf days. I have found tons of clubs and I always look for the owner or drop off at the clubhouse.

Best advice i've gotten was to always put your club between the hole and the cart that way you always have to walk past it. I've never left a club since.

Sunday we saw a guy chunk his chip and throw his club over his cart. When we pulled up it was still sitting there. My father in law asked if we should bring it to him. I said if he had just set it down then yes but he threw it away so i guess he didnt want it anymore. After the ninth hole i saw him driving around trying to find it. Dont throw your clubs people you look ridiculous.

I've turned in, or given back, everything I've found on the course.

I left two head covers and a towel in a cart at Pine Hollow in Clayton, NC and they never turned up.

Lost my first wedding band in Pinehurst years ago. I used to take it off and put it in my pocket. Now I slide it on to my key ring.

Only thing I remember I lost was my legendary Gunther Gopher head cover, but thankfully it got turned in and I got it back a few weeks later. Since that happened (late May/early June), every time I see a club or cover left on the course I'll turn it into the pro shop either at the turn or after the round. Dropped off 2 clubs since then.

Wow, that sucks losing your wedding band. I've never removed mine when I play. It doesn't bother me at all.

I lost my entire golf game on the 6th hole once. Took me almost a month to find it. :)

I have found everything from drivers, wedges, gps, headcovers and I keep them all...screw other people...finders keepers!!!

If you are dumb enough to leave it then thats your fault. I have picked up some real nice stuff over the years. If you want it back...check ebay two days later.

Unfortunately, over the years I had lost a 9 iron, countless head covers. and a Scotty Cameropn divot tool.
Of course no one had turn then in to the lost and found.

I had, returned a set of two Vokey wedges. A Scotty Cameron head cover, a Ping putter cover............, couple of irons..... towel, hat......

Golfers have to understand, lost items on the golf course are not "finder's keeper". I would not call it stealing but very close to that.
