We have an old school ground near my office. I go there yesterday at lunch to just hit some balls on the old baseball field. I drive up to the fence along the first base line and park. I jump out and pick up the pitching wedge. I go to the inside of the fence line and hit about 10 balls out into the field. I shag the balls which are all within about a dozen feet of each other which I'm pretty happy about. I decide to hit the balls BACK to the fence line. Yes, that's right - right back at my truck.

First shot....let me just say that a ProV1x is soft enough that it does not break your windshield dropping in off of a pitching wedge!!!!!

That's my STUPID story for the week. Please tell me you've done something this stupid also.

After I hit the ball, I realize that I really tagged it and it's as if I'm watching it in slow motion. I look up at the ball, look down at the truck, realize it dead on target, and I'm screaming at to get down!!!!

my 3 grand kids were outside in the back yard.hitting wedge shots 40 yards to a bucket target.and the 6 year old ( Eli ) ask me.PAPA,can i use your 65 deg LW. And said SURE!
What was i thinking? LOL. well 30 minutes later,i come back, and i pick up the LW,and hit some shots, but all are going RIGHT. I look at the LW and the shaft ,is bent.so i ask Eli,what did he do to my LW. and said i was trying to hit a bug.and wrap it around this small tree,5 times!!!!! Lesson not Learned.i have another story. Not thinking?
Man, I LOVE my grandkids.

Change your name to 72 cars and counting. LOL. Hmmm stupid story for me... I would have to say when I was 3 years old I was playing golf with my cousin in her backyard. Just hitting a few wedges to certain places. Well you know how toddlers are really curious and wanna know all sorts of stuff at that age? Well when she was coming down to impact I thought it would be a good idea to stick my head right in front of the ball to see what would happen. Very painful feeling that was. The later result: Broken jaw, dislodged teeth, 7 stiches, and the need for braces which I am currently dealing with right now.You can still see the scar on my chin today.

OOH! I can feel my mouth going numb right now! Do you still remember it or did your family tell you the story? Only reason I ask is I can't remember what I did yesterday never mind at 3 years old..

Responding to Daniel Garcia's question as well, I remember the pain and tears that came down to this day. I remember lying on the ground with my eyes flooded in tears, my chin hurting like sh**, and the helpless image I have still imprinted in my mind. I also remember lying down on the table in the hospital where I was about to get stiched up. Bad feeling that was.

Truly awesome.

My stupid moment was I was hitting my lob wedge onto my roof it would come down the gutter systenm back to me. Fine, except i got a little aggressive with a shot it went over the roof towards the house in front and CRASH!!! through the picture window. No harm no foul nobody was home no evidence of anything that ever happen I found the golf ball on my front yard forever hiding a vital piece of damning evidence.

Wow that story makes me rethink some of my practice shots. As many of you know I play hickory clubs which are 100 years old. I am currently practicing for the National Hickory Championship in June in which I will play pre-1900 clubs...irons without grooves and the most lofted club is 50 degrees.

I practice with that 50 degree club...opening it up as much as I can and I hit hundreds of flops shots over my wife's brand new SUV. The goal is to get the ball as close to the car on the other side as I can. Haven't hit the car yet....I'll focus on the word yet.
