It's already been taken care of. Details by late March. Be patient, everyone will like it. If they don't then they aren't true golfers and we wouldn't want them there anyway. It's TOP SECRET info that everyone will know shortly as the fine details get worked out.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could go somewhere iconic this year? I'm giddy with anticipation.

Is this a National Get Together, or the same ol' "crony golf group"? Hmmm........ |

Is this a National Get Together, or the same ol' "crony golf group"? Hmmm........ I took care of this one with Jay's input just like we did the first one in Philly in 2014. Jay took care of the last 2 in Florida with my input. I took the reigns on 2017. "We" would be all the guys that have been regulars at the past NGT's. Is it the same ol' crony group? That depends on who decides to come and whether it's the same old faces or if we get some new blood with guys that say they're coming each year then don't or if they find a reason to finally make it. So when it's announced, YOU will decide which side you'll fall on. The ol' crony group will continue to be there each year but it's up to you if you'd like to be a part of the cronies or find an excuse not to make it...Again. |

A group like ours should do a National Get Together at a really cool place. We need to stop with this FL stuff. I live here already... and I already play golf here all the time. I don't need a bunch of guys from the Northeast and Texas coming down here and disrupting my September.
The best buddies trips and places to bring a large group of people for the best golf trips, rated by Golf Digest is: 1) Bandon Dunes 2) Pinehurst 3) Pebble Beach 4) Scottsdale 5) Kiawah Island If we don't go to one of those places... then I'm OUT. |

I'll get with Jay on this and let you know shortly. |

I wouldn't have expected anything less from you. Truth is that I wanted to attend both NGT's. But due to circumstances that were beyond my control, I couldn't make them. I even had reservations for last years which I had to cancel. Not that you need to know, but I am an open book so I'll clear the air now. The first year I broke my finger. Can't play golf with a broken finger. Last year I started having issues with my heart again. Something I will deal with for the rest of my life. As a matter of fact, I rarely play golf anymore because of it. But sometimes I get to practice when I feel up to it. So there you have it. Who knows, maybe I'll feel up to it this year and finally make it. I know that would make you feel better. |

When I SAY "You will decide which side you'll fall on" that's a reference to EVERYONE who comes up short each year. Don't take it personal. |

Why not just accept that I answered your questions rather than reading a bunch of assumptions into it even after you second guessed it all? |

It was your bold faced lie that you were not addressing me in particular, when in fact you were, that's what makes your credibility worthless. That's why. Whatever Don! If your goal is to win this discussion, you win. You're wrong but you win. I hate to tell you but it's not always about you. As you have never planned one of these with Jay and I then you have no idea how many people swear they're coming and don't show. I'd say it's close to 50% or more. For the record, I never even mentioned you breaking a finger although I know that's why you didn't make it before. You either have a mercurial temperament or you just don't believe what I say even though I assured you it has nothing to do with you. Maybe you should ask Jay and he can tell you the same thing regarding people being all talk and not showing up when push comes to shove. I like you Don, but you don't make it easy when you have to win every discussion and turn your assumptions about others or what they say into your own self-satisfying facts. When you're wrong, admit it. Nobody has ever choked to death from swallowing his pride and admitting he's wrong. It's not giving up. It's called growing up. |
