Which approach has worked best for you in the past when the putter went cold on you?
1) Let it spend some time in the dog house? 2) Put it in your bed at night so it can warm up? I'm at a loss, thanks for the help. |

Give it a hug and just say it was one of those days.

My putting is so bad I average about 33 putts per 18 holes. Now that is cold. I have carried as many as 3 putters in the bag at times just trying to find that spark. Sometimes I can roll in a 15 footer and then on the next hole miss a 3 footer. I have no confidence that I will make anything. But yesterday the UPS driver delivered me a new never been hit putter that I will start this season with. We'll see how it goes.

There has to be one out there that will work. Keep searching. I have no idea how many putters I have owned. Maybe that's why My putting sucks. |

Back to basics. Try laying two clubs down shafts parallel to guide the path. I like to practice one handed too. Mix it up, try looking at the hole not the ball then switch to watching the ball and listen for the drop without looking. Stand on one foot and close your eyes...

You're at a loss because you didn't have a 3rd option. Try treating your putter like that nasty 5W that met a watery grave.

When I'm not making any putts, what helps me psychologically is going to a putting green and continually hitting 1 foot putts. Seeing the ball go in the hole, regardless of the distance helps. After a few minutes of doing that I'll do some lengthier putts knowing I can actually picture what it looks like for the ball to go in the hole.

You need to treat it with love and respect . . . . would you leave your wife out on the front porch ?!? Wait, don't answer that .... |

It's a pretty simple 3 step routing to start holing putts again.
1) Keep you head still 2) Keep your damn head still 3) Keep your damn stupid head still Not even kidding. And you're welcome. |
