i was looking into an affordable launch monitor for my basement (long and miserable winters in the northeast). still want to swing the clubs and looking to get something out of hitting into a net in the basement.

looks like ernest sports (es12 and es14) and voice caddie make decent monitors. i was reading and article that both of these were tested and most results were within 1 percent of those obtained from a $25,000 TrackMan launch monitor. All numbers were within 2 percent of the TrackMan.

does anyone on here have either the es12, es14, or voice caddie that they use and can provide any feedback. thanks!

It will depend on ball speed primarily. TrackMan is pretty much impossible to beat at tour speeds (and a lot of the systems won't be even close at those speeds) but at lower ball speeds, the less expensive systems seem to do just fine. The other thing about Trackman is that you need a lot of space for the system to work correctly so I'm tinking the systems you mentioned would be a great option.

The thing about the trackman system is your going to spend an arm and a leg for one and they are not as accurate indoors as they are outside because they dont catch as many revolutions of the golf ball after the strike to get the data i used one every day for the last 16 months, the ernest sports monitors are good but not accurate on individual shots you have to hit 100 shots and then it gives you a accurate average of the shots so it matters if you want to spend the money or hit a ton of shots to get one clubs average

A friend of mine puts up a hitting area his garage every winter. He added an ES monitor this year but doesn't really get much out of it. It is neat to see the speeds and distance but that novelty wears off. There is supposedly a fitting app that can be used with it that will track shots and compare clubs but he hasn't been able to find it in the app store. Not sure which one he has but I am hitting balls later this week with him so I will do a little more investigating.
