Anyone besides me notice the tee box markers for the Masters? They're using short cedar logs with painted ends just like my local muny. Come on!!! This is the Masters! "A tradition like no other" as Jim "the windbag" Nantz says, and their tee box markers look this cheap? What's up with that? Just curious about an odd situation, I guess....

I don't remember them ever being anything else. Me either. But I'm quite certain that if they were EVER anything else other than what you see today that Lyin' Lewis will give us all the history of the Augusta National tee markers. LL, you now have the floor... |

I don't ever remember them being anything else here. The ones at the local muni I play are made out of plaster and painted, but these are real cedar!

They have never been anything else. The fact that it is a tradition unlike any other is why they don't need anything else. Augusta National doesn't need any John Deere tractors for teemarkers, or anything else corny like that. I like them.

Nor pimento sandwiches on each tee box with a toothpick stuck through it to hold it down. |
