Folks -

I just want to say first that I'll always respond to a private message. Sometimes it may take awhile. But eventually, it'll get done. I've been living on this site since 2007, before some of you were born.

Now, to be completly honest, I have not removed a single forum. I'm on this site just about all day every day. But I'm usually working in the background, not reading every line of text posted. If I was, this site would really suffer, as nothing would get done around here.

That said, I have seen some posts removed, and it's generally not the original post, but the flaming banter than ensues.

You see, we are just a small business, unlike some of you may think, and the face of our business is right here, on this website. Even still, we allow significant access for you to get your message in front of others. That's something you don't hear of.

So, I believe it's appropriate that we moderate when the conversation turns into a flame throwing contest.

Now, as for any enhancements or bug fixes that are out there, let us know what you have. We have always encouraged constructive criticism.

We're excited to be moving forward with this site as we are seeing record signups and scores being posted.

Thanks,

-GR

GR-
Thanks for the post. But here are some items that are a MUST have for the member list as a club chairman:

1. List has to show total rounds posted for current year.
2. List has to show rounds played with another member for current year.
3. List has to show tournaments played for current year.
4. List must show the full name of the member on the list not their screen name. This is a club rule and could cause them to be removed.
5. List used to highlight anyone outside the 50 mile radius in red, please put that back.

These items are extremely important for a club like mine that has over 800 members. Otherwise I have to go through each member ONE by ONE to see if they are compliant with the USGA and the club bylaws. Needless to say I do not have the time for this and if these items can't be done for the list I am afraid I would have to drop the Chairman role.

Jim - this has been on my list to update since the move. I've just been swamped. I'll make it a priority and update the club page this week.

Still waiting for my courses to load to post a score. for now I will just keep useing my profile as a score card. not trying throw any flames here just trying to keep my balls dry. golf balls haha

Duck, if you could, please post your Browser information and OS here so I can look to see if we advanced more than your machine is capable.

It's a work computer and I can not change or do any thing with the browser. If they find out about this web site it would be blocked. So there is not much I can do here. I think my browser is windows internet 8. does that sound right????

Somewhere on your browser is a 'Tools' button. I'm on Google Chrome and it looks like a wrench in the upper right corner. Not sure what it looks like in IE8. If you can find it, look for a selection that says 'about IE8' or whatever you have and click it. The window that comes up will have the information in it. Mine is Google Chrome 18.0.1025.168 m this is the version I have installed now.

Also, if you are on Windows, click on 'Start' select 'Settings' then 'Control Panel' (this is for XP, your version may be slightly different). At the top should be a 'Help' tab, select 'About Windows' that's where your OS info is. Really sounds like a Java issue to me though. You won't be able to update that on your own without tipping your hand to the boys in IT.

The "Make Primary" button does not work when selecting your primary club. This no longer effects me (after another long ordeal), but I have club members that can't select the primary club when they belong to 2 or more.

We need the "365 Stats" back for chairman on the member list. It told us how many rounds were played with a member as well as T scores in the last 365 days. How else can we see if someone played with a member?

We can't list anything other than a vTour on our club calendars anymore. Forget meetings, important dates, and other events at this point. We can't even list a physical golf event.

I've fixed the Primary Button. I'll look into the 365 Stats column this weekend. The club calender may take a while longer as it is on a completely new schema.

Thanks for the 365 stats back. This was huge.

Err. We rounded down from 246 to 50.
Actually, it's label is mis-confusing. It is total putt feet w/ GIR. Your GIRs are on hole 11 and 13, with a putt length of 35 and 15 respectively.

"Mis-confusing" I like that one! Can't wait to use it. The explanation is understandable, but I could see where the actual total putt distance for a round might be a useful number to have for comparison over the course of time. Is this some kind of 'standard' stat? Does it have an analog on the pro tour stats? Could it show as an over/under stat? Total length per GIR vs. total length with a missed green. It would be a great way to track my short game skills.

I would like to know how to remove the auto-renewal from my account. I would prefer to just pay when its time if I decide to renew. Thanks!

Same here, Green Reader. Happy to be here, but I just would rather put the payment through when it's needed.

thanks!

My compliments to GR!! The member list is now much easier to review with the 365 stats and radius alert in red. Nice work!!

Any chance I can have someone from support figure out why I can't view any of My Game stuff after I login? I opened ticket 00098426 on April 19 and I have received virtually no help. I hate to post this to a forum but the email route is not getting me anywhere and my account if virtually useless right now.

Thanks.

Chris, I've updated your Club membership. You were in a club that has been disabled from the Golf Channel. Let me know if you have any more problems.
