Welcome to the new Handicap Tracker website.

The transition last night was relatively smooth, but we anticipate a few kinks to work out today and over the next couple days. If you see anything that seems broken, please let me know by responding to this thread.

Only thing I have noticed is that when scroll down any page, the site lags terribly. Its jerky and slow. not that way before, nor is it on any other forums I'm on, or the internet in general. Just here.

GR,

The new site won't let me start a new forum topic. The window that pops up simply says "Please sign in" instead of presenting me with the usual options and text box for starting a new topic. Without having done anything since then, I'm able to post replies to existing topics (such as this one). Using I.E. version 8.0.7601.17514 on this machine

OK - seems to be about 50/50 now. I can occasionally post a new topic successfully, but when I went to update this post, was told that I needed to sign in. Took three tries, but without changing anything was now able to post another response.

**Update** - clicked "Save" button to post this response, and got a user not signed in error.

Don - What browser are you using? How about your computer processor? I'm wondering if it is the background image is just too big to render on your machine.

You could test that theory by going to our Golf.com affiliate site: http://handicaptracker.golf.co../
and see if you have the same issues...

I made a small tweak with the pop-ups that may fix your issue. However, I don't have a IE8 browser to test. The new site is definitely geared for the latest browsers.

You can download the latest version of IE here:
http://windows.microsoft.com/e..

or Chrome (personal recommendation)
https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/..

or Mozilla
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/f../

The drop down menus are not working in IE. And the only place I can find to logout is if the Account drop down menu is working. Why not have a button to logoff on each page instead of having to click on Accounts?

Was this working for you previously? What version of IE are you using?

-- Edit 7/30 @ 10:46 -- I have made and update and verified that the drop down menus are working in IE 9 and 10. I've also heard that they are working in IE 8, but I haven't seen that for myself. Let me know if the problem persists for you.

Tried the blog post and it does not show up on the My Game page under the club name? The only things showing up there are posts from Chad, which I have no idea why they would be there?

-- Edit 7/30 @ 11:08 -- Published a fix for this feature. You can edit your blog and assign the club correctly now. -GR

On the old site ... when you went to your club home page, it would show the members in the order that they were last online. Now they appear in the oder of their handicap rank. Although it does indicate when they were online, it was nice to see it quickly. Can you change it back?

What would be really slick is if you could click the category and sort data on the fly. Then you could see members by name, or last logon, or by handicap, forward or reverse. Also on the Philly #013 page the top two members are NH, then handicap by rank.

With my testing, i'm pretty sure it's the heavy graphic in the background and the sticky navigation, so I've updated the display for IE browsers < 9 to hide them. Let me know if this solves your problem.
