$19.99 for 18 and a cart this morning at Fullerton. Pretty hard to beat it. Challenging course but in great shape. Played with 2 other singles and had a great time playing in under 3 hours. Shot 84 after starting 6-8 on #1 and #2.

A few wks back ago a bud and I was playing @ Clear Creek in Houston, the prices was $28 with the cart which has a GPS. Not a Great deal but it suited us, we made the turn and they thru a Tourney on us. About 50-75 players I say, boy was we both P.O., went in and complain a little and they refunded our $ with a free lunch. So free with lunch, not bad !
Point is some course are going out of their way to make us happier and return. I find if a course is in really good course condition, $50 is all good! wd |

In Arizona, you can get some unbelivable deals in the summer. This time of year, everything is at a premium. My brother came to visit last summer and we played 18 with a cart at a resort course for $6.50. I played every Friday this past summer and never paid over $18 for a round of golf. We played TPC Scottsdale for $59 and it included 18 holes on the Champions course, Lunch, and then 18 on the stadium course. My best under the table deal of all time was I got to play Pinehust #2 and #1, two weeks before the 2005 US Open for $40!! Best golf day of my life..my buddy's father in law is the head greenskeeper there. Met him in the parking lot, hand him $40 bucks and he said "Have fun... play anywhere you want!!" Nothing was off limits.. One condition...you might die on the course. My youngest brother used to live in Phoenix when he was a young advertising executive in his 20s. He'd take advantage of those low mid day rates in the summer...and was able to live to tell about it! |

When I was at Sam Houston State, I could walk the Pete Dye-designed Waterwood National for $10 with a student I.D. That was 1992-96.
I've paid $20 or less per 18 with a cart using IdealGolfer.com. You can find good deals there (and some decent deals on this site). |
